Good Morning LL! Nice blue day yesterday and it looks like Tess is taking it down a notch today! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: So we are starting Tess's new fuds schedule , it will add up to 5 oz. but If she doesn't eat it all I won't keep shoving it in her face. Within reason of course.

WCR All 5 Ps, Clean Plate Club, time for cuddles and BTB for the bean.

Hi Ann, very nice AMPS for Tess today. Good luck with the new fuds feeding schedule. It looks like she likes Wellness. I wish I could get Maggie to eat that brand instead of FF. Have a nice day.

Once more I have failed in the BTB mission. I gave up and got coffee.

Ann, it took a year of trying before she finally accepted the fact that this is what she is getting. She still prefers FF if she can get it. I think it is mainly the texture. The Turkey is so sticky I have to turn it into soup. But if I do that to the Chicken she snubs it. THAT had to be just chopped up a little. ohmygod_smile

i can't ever go back to sleep anymore. it's just annoying to try, so when i'm up i'm up. on the other hand, my husband is a true sleep monster. it annoys me no end to try to go back to sleep and have him out in seconds while i lay there thinking "why doesn't he just do the morning shots on the weekend cuz he can go back to sleep and if i'm up that's it." :lol: he'll probably show up again this morning around 9:30 or 10am. slug. :mrgreen:

me too on never making it btb. it just never happens... i always think well-just a minute on this and that, which always ends up being more like an hour...

Good luck with the new fuds schedule. I hope it will work for her... paws crossed! too funny on the hoops you go through with the wellness. Mannie doesn't care. sometimes I get the "what - this again" look, but he always eats it, despite the pasty texture....

Julie, DH was usually the early riser, Tess has changed that. He gets up and makes the coffee though and this morning, BISCUITS!

So...did you change her feeding schedule or she's just getting more food?

Thanks for checking in with us last night. I did Gracie's +3 :shock: and went right to bed at 10:30; slept until 7 this morning.

Marje, the schedule is the same but we've reduce the amount by half an ounce. Plus if she snubs a meal in the evening, I'm not staying up half the night to convince her to eat it. She has stopped losing weight maybe even gained a little. She move so much on the scale it's had to tell though.

Do you use a food scale to measure those small amounts? I should do something like that, but I just figure that Rusty eats a can of Wellness turkey a day and a small amount of FF T&G snack at bedtime. Some meals he gets more of the can than others! Totally not scientific.
Thanks for your support last night, Ann. I was down and needed a lift. Today Rusty came back down to green, so I'm keeping fingers crossed that fur shots are a thing of the past, at least for a week or so!

Hi Ella. yes we have a small electronic scale. Just habit now to weigh things out. I was bad about getting teaspoons and tablespoons measured out evenly. I guess it didn't really matter when she was getting a full can, but now it will be a help again. I started because she kept losing weight for a year after dx, and I wanted to be sure she was getting enough food. I'm glad Rusty is back to the great numbers he usually give you. He sounds like such a sweetie.

I bought that scale at Harbor Freight that you recommended...the pocket one....LOVE IT!!!!

Good luck with the new feeding operation! I'm thankful that Willie has settled in well and can graze without going crazy. does make life a bit easier! I use a food scale pretty regularly, especially for getting the recipe for his homemade food right. I also measure servings of into ziploc freezer bags using the scale as well. I use this one by Oxo. It's pricier than others, but the pull-out display is well worth it... big bowls are no problem now, and it is ridiculously easy to tare.

Saw your note on our condo. Yes...I've used those WN pouches since you told me about them. But when she's dropping and I shoot a dropping number, they weren't working without karo so thought I'd try something else. It didn't work without karo either and she didn't like the food. Given WN vs FF.....I'll take the WN healthier stuff.
