Good morning!
Well, we tried a combo of foods this morning to see what she prefers. She definitely does not want the Chicken/Herring, nor the Beef. She did eat the Tuna (Friskies 6%) and after dumping the other stuff, I gave her .80oz of 3% Turkey and Giblets and she ate most of it.
My worry for today: I made an appointment for her today to have her anal sacs emptied. Shortly after making the appointment, I get a call telling me that Shasta has a "Sedate" sticker on her file. I told the lady that I did not want her sedated for a 20 second procedure...not with her heart problems. Shasta has had her sacs emptied a few times before (I had to scruff her) and yeah, she wasn't nice (who would be?) but the previous vet got the job done without sedating her. I feel that this new vet does not have Shasta's best interest in mind, and while I know she's looking out for her safety and her staff's safety, come on honey...squeeze her sacs and let us go home. :YMSIGH:
Wish us luck! ~Deborah & the very unsuspecting Shasta
