Yesterday:
Yesterday was a bounce off the green the day before. Whole day in yellow with a blue at PMPS. Yellow at PM+5 but I judging from todays's PS, I believe Rosy has gone lower to the blue last cycle.
Today:
Another hot & sunny day. It's only during the rainny days that the temp did cool down. The weather gets hot once the sun comes out. Yesterday was around 33 degrees, aircon & alternate fan was running non stop.
I did succeed giving Tongtong his AB pill but very difficult as he refused to swallow it even if its inside his mouth. Finally I used the feeding pen & the empty capsule to feed him. 2 amoxy pills were wasted

AMPS 122 gave canned breakfast & 0.9u (w food at +2)

Re: 7/31 Rosy AMPS 122

Morning Helen! What a wonderful amps for Rosy! I do like low blue amps - maybe Rosy will see some green today? :-D :-D

Good job on the AB's for TongTong. it is so hard sometimes to pill cats that don't want to be pilled. I had a kitty a long time ago that would put them in her cheek, and spit them out minutes later. She was such a challenge!

have a good ay today - I hope it cools down some for you.

Re: 7/31 Rosy AMPS 122

I think Rosy's trampoline is losing its spring. :-D Looking good! TongTong, take your medicine. Are you giving him a little water after his pill? Happy Tuesday!
Liz

Re: 7/31 Rosy AMPS 122/ 4 79

Rosy is looking good in her green numbers! Pilling can be difficult especially once the kitty gets the bad taste in it's mouth. Good luck for future pilling :-D

Thanks Michelle! Rosy's listening to you! Hope Mannie is as good & join Rosy on the green.
My cats are all domestic cats from stray mother cats. They are all very smart, fast & well known for difficult to handle specis. A lot of cat owners in HK prefer to get their pure bred cats from pet shop. When we compare our cats, these "domestic" ones are the most naughty ones. Lucky that I got them when they are kitties & were milked by me, they treated me like their mother & the trust built up. Some of my friends who got full grown cats never got the chance to touch the poor thing even after some years of adoption. They have no trust in people because of the difficult & mostly probably abused past. That is a tragic story. Although they were adopted & given a home, they never really settled down with the family.

Yes Liz, I always try to give them water after the feeding of pill. Got to force because water is often more difficult than giving pill. Sometimes I will feed them a bit of food after pill so that the pill will "go down"

AM+4 79 gave tsp of LC for surfing. Scheduled lunch in 2 hr.

Re: 7/31 Rosy AMPS 122/ 4 79

Do you use a syringe to give the water? We've had good luck with that. Nice green!

Hi Helen

Will you be able to replace the wasted pills? Generally it's not a good idea to shorten an AB treatment course without being instructed to do so by the treating vet...

Hope you have a good day!
Jane

Yes Liz, I feed water using a 3ml syringe. But it is difficult if the kitty refuse to drink . You know how they can twist their Hands & hind legs over their head to push you! Even if I wrap them up in a large towel, maybe the first time, ok. The second time, you will have a difficult time even trying to wrap them up! I dont want to stress them too much, so if the first time fail, I'll try it half an hr later. Not all of these cats can be medi treated, too often we need to take them to the vet daily for injection if necessary. Dont mention about the cat carrier in front of them, they'll flee or hide
They are that damm smart!

Yes Jane, I'll get extra from my vet for the replacement. The vet though not the best is near my home & will do as I tell him. Which vet can refuse a 21 cats pet owner with frequant visits? And not to mention the numerous sponsors on desex every month.  No no, I am not a rich cat lady! I just try to do my best to help those homeless stray on the desex since I dont have anymore resourse to take them in.

AM+10 113
PMPS 137 gave canned dinner & 0.9u

Hi Helen! Inverted curves are BG-cycles that peak where they should normally nadir - whereas the "regular" Lantus curve shows a low point on average around +6 (though for Karre it's earlier, he is an early nadir cat), an inverted curve would show the *high* point at that time in the cycle. It happens because the cat's body is receiving more insulin than it needs, and the liver recognizes this and lifts the BG by putting out glucagon and counter-regulatory hormones. As the BG lifts towards what would otherwise be nadir (generally at about mid-cycle), the pancreas often steps in and brings the BG back down, creating the inverted curve effect. If you look at Karre's three AM-cycles right before he went OTJ in 2008, you'll see what that visually does to the curve (that is, it inverts the curve). You can look at the graphs showing this by clicking on the link in my signature. Jane

I can usually give Vyktor one pill and then that's it, he will fight as if his life depended on it. I was actually grateful he got something requiring injections instead of pills, we're in big trouble if he ever needs regular pills :? I think he must be related to your mob, I imagine that you probably have some 'war wounds' after the trouble you had pilling Tongtong  The things we do for our babies - and they sometimes don't appreciate at all!!!

Lovely cycle for Rosy - keep up the good work beautiful girl

Hi Helen, it looks like Rosy is having a lovely cycle today. Sending some healing vines for TongTong to get thru the AB's. I had a kitty that was a master at hiding the pills. Hope you soon get some relief from the heat.

War wounds? You should see my pair of beautiful legs! Last time I was at a massage therapy, the master asked me if there is an abuse in my home!   My leg is all covered with those scar from scratches!
Yes, Ive read the explanation from Jane but...that is a bit complicatd for my little simple head! Ok Ok, I'll try to explain to myself again & try to understand it. Whenever it comes to numbers, my mind just go off! :-D
