Good Morning LL. DH here. Marjorie escaped to a birthday brunch for a friend and then some errands. I thought I might be able to go too, but Missy G has other ideas. Good Girl.

Gracie is her normal happy, purry self this morning. She had a nice day yesterday and last night, but a little too much time in the 40's. So even though it was only her second dip below 50 on the .75u dose, we decided to give her a shave this morning. She bounced last night but it was only a blue one, so hopefully this was a good time for the reduction. By the looks of her +4 she still means bidness.

All is well here. Gus had a regular appt with the NRT vet this morning and he tested at 10 out of 10 on all the things she looks at. He even gained some weight, so we are very happy. Tobey is parked in front of the TV watching his bird videos.

We hope you all are well and have a great day.

Gracie sure did recover nicely from the bounce! Lots of luck on the shave dose. It's good to hear Gus is doing so well and got a 10 out of 10! I was wondering if the tarantula is still around, or did it return to its hole?
Gus, enjoy the bird videos!

DH here. Ann, the spider didn't survive, either from Gracies affections or whatever causes spiders to expire. When I got back from my trip yesterday afternoon and examined the deceased, I don't think it was a tarantula, probably just a little wolf spider. We see tarantulas every day this time of year and this one didn't look like one. I'm normally not much of a spider fan, but I like the tarantulas. They are very pretty(for a creepy crawly), slow moving, and they eat every bug in sight. Natural pest control. :-D

Lovely cycle today, Gracie girl.  Great news on Mr. Gus! :-D :-D And, Tobey, you are too funny with your bird videos.  I hope Marjorie brings you something yummy from the brunch, Mike.

Aww...sorry about the wolf spider's demise. I was curious about Tarantulas, as the movies show them as deadly to humans if they bite. I guess that is just a myth and just in the movies. Interesting, natural pest control.

Very pretty cycle today guys! Good on ya!

I fantasize about moving to Tucson some day. I have a dear friend of over 40 years that moved out there and lives in Oro Valley now. I have been there to visit many times (before Feline Diabetes) and I just love it out there. The only thing that freaks me a bit are the spiders and scorpions. Not really worried about me, but about my cats. I guess you find a way to deal with it and be brave nailbite_smile

Tarantulas? EVERY DAY? Yikes :?

Gracie sure is looking nice. I hope the shave will stick and she will continue her march in the right direction!

       You all crack me up.

We say here in Tucson: "everything here will bite you, stab you, or sting you". We've been here 16 years....we've survived scorpion stings; thankfully, we've not gotten bitten by rattlesnakes although there are many in residence on our property, and I wish I had a dime for every time I've gotten cactus needles in a body part. You'd be amazed at how quickly people adjust. It's just so gorgeous here.

And Missy G is still seeing that depot action. She has been out on the catio ALL day long!! She really loves it out there and it's been plenty pleasant enough to let her stay.

Ann..the tarantulas are not deadly. They are actually pretty docile. Mike has picked them up before. ewwww!
