HAPPY MONDAY!!!

Been trying to post for more than an hour and keep getting distracted...

All is well here. Kitties napping - fat and happy...The mind is a funny thing...Doug woke me to tell me goodbye and I asked what Hershey's number was, as usual. In my mind, he said four hundred something. I went back to sleep, kicking myself that I didn't do a +7 test and Hershey had dropped really low and I wasn't there for him and now he was bouncing and...When I got up and looked at his SS, his AMPS was (246), not four hundred something...relief!

Well, back to working on supper...Red Beans (kidney beans) and Rice! Maybe I can even get a frozen yogurt pie made...

I hope y'all have a wonderful day -

Libby (& Hershey, too!)

Ah, frozen yogurt pie:-) The best summertime dessert ever invented...strawberry?
Nice gentle curve for Hershey.

Hey, Carl -

The pie will be blueberry/strawberry. I think I could eat it every day during the summer! :-D

Well, the blues didn't last long. :YMSIGH: I was sure hoping by the 6th cycle he'd be looking better...

+7 (230)

Re: 7/30 Hershey AMPS(246) +4(176) +5(154) +7(230)

Looking back, it looks like cycle #8 has done the trick on the last 2 reductions, so don't get discouraged.

Please let me know if a house in your neighborhood comes up for sale, Libby..... I want to be the poor helpless starving looking guy who lives down the street that gets invited over to dinner a few times a week. I'd settle for just a pic of the pie though!

Do you do delivery across North America? That pie sounds lovely - recipe?

Nice AMPS for Hershey, aren't you glad it wasn't red. He's starting to get the right idea with the blues.

Re: 7/30 Hershey AMPS(246) +4(176) +5(154) +7(230)

 Wendy - I don't think it would travel well. :-D It's SUCH an easy recipe!

16-oz your favorite yogurt. This was easy when yogurt came in 8-oz containers. Now, I just use 18-oz. I use low/non-fat yogurt.
8-oz whipped topping.
Mix together. Can add diced fruit, if you'd like.
Don't over-mix or you'll deflate the whipped topping.
Pour into pie crust. Can't think what you call it, but it's the ones on the shelf, ready-to-use, not the kind you cook.

Garnish with fruit, as desired.

Jessica has been reading her in chocolate cookbook and wanted to try piping. So, she made some chocolate designs and is garnishing with some of those.

FREEZE 4 hours. I often freeze mine overnight. That, I think it's about :30 - :45 minutes. We never wait that long. ;-) We like ours still pretty frozen.

Re: 7/30 Hershey PMPS(344) UGH!!

Your pie sounds really good for summertime. I'm thinking lemon yogurt with a graham crust, or coffee flavored yogurt with a chocolate crust. Oh, I have to stop thinking..

I hope Hershey comes down nicely for you.

Re: 7/30 Hershey PMPS(344) UGH!!

Libby, you always make the best meals and make it sound so simple, too. Yum on the blueberry/strawberry yogurt pie! Scritches to Hershey and hope he comes down.

Re: 7/30 Hershey PMPS(344) UGH!!

Great!! Now I am starving for yogurt pie!!! My family had a yogurt pie recipe, with yogurt, sweetened condensed milk, Vanilla, graham cracker crust YUM--
But yours is a LOT less farrening!
Dont worry about this number--It's only one number, one day..Iomorrow will be much better--Hugs & love from us!

Re: 7/30 Hershey PMPS(344) UGH!!

@Dyana - yummy - never thought of those combinations...Almost time to test Hershey. I hope he comes down, too!

@Ann - Thank you for the kind words. I'm all about simple meals! I really like this pie because it's cool and yummy, but not bad for you. :-D

@Roni - I LOVE this pie! Thanks, I'll try not to dwell on this yucky cycle/day and HOPE for better numbers SOON! Hugs back at 'cha!!

@Michelle - I don't know what's going with our kitties today... :YMSIGH: If you hurry, there is a little pie left!

Thanks for visiting us today Libby:) Looks like Hershey is headed in the right direction tonight. Wishing him a quick bounce:)
The pie looks super yummy. After seeing it, I suddenly feel like eating something sweet so off to the kitchen I go!

YES Libby, that's the same recipe I have! I use the graham pie crusts, and yogurt with fruit bits, usually strawberry. It's best early in the summer when the U-Pick strawberry farm a few miles up the road has fresh berries, then I slice some and put them on top. YUM!!!!

And that's a awesome picture of a beautiful pie! If anyone has never had this, it tastes even better than it looks too!

 Tamara - Sorry to be a bad influence of you, but hope you enjoyed your 'something sweet!'

We usually use graham cracker crusts, too, Carl. But, I like it with the shortbread crust, too. I really like peach strawberry, but since Jessica doesn't like peaches, I only make that flavor if we're having two. She really likes strawberry garnished with kiwi!

+5 (228) - fed

Heading to bed since it doesn't look like Hershey has anything eventful planned tonight. I'll take the permission slip for the extra sleep!

Thanks, Everybody, for the visits today. Hope y'all have a peaceful night...

Hi Libby,
Looks like HErshey had a great ay yesterday!
Must not have had any pie!
Hope his numbers are great today!

Hi Libby, When you you say freeze, do you mean put the pie in the freezer? or just inside the fridge?

Hey, Denise - Thanks for stopping by. I'll be glad when we can increase Hershey because he's sure not seeing the nice numbers I was getting used to on the higher dose. I don't know, maybe somewhere between the two is where he wants to be...

Hey, Helen - Yes, put the pie in the freezer.
