Good Morning LL,
Checkers was unusually snuggly, during the night. Guess he felt better. Nice playful morning, not sleeping it away.
His little nose got a workout yesterday, when he found out I had snuck out on the porch with a piece of canteloupe.
He knew it had been out there, even tho I spritzed a bit of air freshener in the kitchen, so he wouldn't smell it coming out of the fridge.
The boy is crazy about canteloupe. Breaks my heart that he can no longer have it. :cry:

My DC who is here, her last cat went crazy for cantalope--Look you want Checkers to feel good, so, some things just gotta go..
My guys LOVED Temptations, and had to give them up too...Now Moonie gets them only when she goes low--to bring her up!
Dont be sad about the melon, it's for her own good!!

Also Barb, Moonie runs higher numbers at night, Dont know why, she just does, but that's just fine, I would have a hard time getting up in the middle of the nite!! Have a great Friday! :mrgreen:

Checkers has been playful and alert all day today. He teases his little brother, by laying across narrow hallway, and grabbing Clancy's legs, as he tries to walk by.......and then the fight is on!! :lol:

What a difference 200 points makes. :roll:

Barb, Checkers is getting some nice blue numbers lately. Way to go. I wonder if you can use cantaloupe to bring his numbers up if he goes low, like Moonie's Temptations. Just a thought - at least Checkers would get some once in a while.

Omigosh, wouldn't he love that? I could make some melon balls, freeze them, and pop 'em in the microwave to defrost. Good Idea, Ele. :-D

Would snack, one hour before, affect preshot number? I feed him 2 hours before, but he was licking the dish for crumbs, so I gave him more. Yeah, I'm a sucker. :roll:
 
Food within the hour might bump up his numbers. My civvie, George, used to love melon. We would fight over cantaloupe and watermelon.

Thanks for the compliments about my kitties. The photos of Gizmo are a bit dated. He's now Gabby's size, if not a little bigger, and lots furrier. (Giz is a Norwegian Forest Cat and is about 1.5 yrs old.)
 
Hi Barb! and here I thought I'd already visited you today - guess not, and Bad me! Love the idea of frozen cantaloupe... nice!

Nice day for Checkers! Mannie says HI!, and hopes that checkers can make it to the party for Six.
