My Dh can talk again! He's on a speaking valve and is improving rapidly every day. He wants to come home badly and I would love to have him home but he is to weak to even stand. He asked me if it would be okay for him to come home for a few days and sadly I had to tell him no. You have to get better first. It is temporary, you will come home!!! :mrgreen:

I thought that was a weird # too. Makes up for the vacuum cleaner belt breaking and the car dying at my mom's . I was so happy to hear his voice again! it's been so long.

(((((sue))))) I didn't realize your DH hadn't been able to talk :shock: OMG you must be under so much strain right now. That is great news he is doing better, and hopefully he will be all better soon and can come home. This was all from a steroid overdose? More things I never knew about.

Looks like Sam is doing great on your new plan, yay!

No steroid over dose. He had cellulitis, a staph infection in his blood and now his lungs are compromised. He's been sedated up in ICU for over 2 weeks. Being flat on his back doesn't help. He is on the ventilator still, hence no talking. He is improving slowly but is still very fragile. :cry: Jeez I miss him. He is out of ICU though for a week now.
