What a nice day for Mannie yesterday: we had a great green AM cycle, a decent high end blue cycle for the PM one. :cool: :razz: This morning though we seem to have a little bounce going on - bummer! :sad: Well, here's hoping he clears it quickly - I think he probably will. The +2 is promising! GO Mannie!! Your bean lubs ya! cat_pet_icon

With drizzly weather comes sleepy kitties.... all three of them! Kitty choir, aka my back-up alarm system, was ineffective this morning. Head vocalist, BJ, was in the kitchen signing the I am hungry blues - but hey! that's miles away from the bedroom.... so totally ineffective. :lol: :lol: The other two, including Mannie, were sawing logs. I don't know how they could sleep through the noise that she was making a mere 50 feet away, but they were. :lol: :lol: :roll: We had a great test feed shoot, though I did have to go and wake up the Nanner King. Those nanners were making a fine mattress this morning. :lol: :lol: Breffis was consumed with gusto :razz: : clean plate club intact :cool: , including an attempted rain by Mannie on the civvie's fuds. Imagine his surprise when he discovered that they too were clean plate club members. :shock: :o :cool: and...... no whacking today! All three have gone back to their naps, including the nanner King who is, once again, on top of the pile. :cool: :razz: All is well in MannieLand.

Have a great holiday weekend everyone! We have rain this morning, though they say it shall clear my mid-afternoon, leaving us with sun through the holiday tomorrow. YAY! I'm not too sure what is up here today.... Still passed on the hikes - too many people out there crowding things up. :lol: :lol: It just might be a good day to catch up on things.

good to hear that the Nanner King has maintained order in his Kingdom today without any whacking. although i always feel a slight bit of worry if I haven't heard that he's whacked the cities. then i wonder if all is well.

my fav time to stay home is on the holidays. nobody out on the streets or in the stores! we've got the university here, and while it keeps many people employed, i always dread it when the students return in september. students aren't the most thoughtful people to live nearby!

perhaps tuesday will be a perfect hiking day!

Morning Michelle and Mannie and what a nice cycle yesterday! How nice of the kitty choir to wake you up! I know, same here, with all the popular places so crowded as in the beach, parks, etc. I'm going shopping for a camera at Target, shouldn't be too crowded there! I hope the bounce clears soon for Mannie, and it looks like Mannie is already coming down.

Rainy here in tourist town too! maybe we can get some places!! :lol: --I also love staying home on a Holiday-

It sure is wonderful to know that things are A Ok in Mannie land still! That every one is behaving for the most part and Nanners are being loved like always :-D .. Sorry to hear about the icky morning but glad to hear that it will be clearing for you. Staying home sounds like a lovely plan to me too.
I hope that you have some lazy down time for yourself today Michelle!

Hi Julie - that he has!: order restored! we spoke too soon on the whacking though. Else walked in front of him - WHACK! I hope so on Tuesday for hiking. I can always go to the shore, it does give 4+ miles, and it is nice there. wow on the university - and yes on the students. They should teach a class on thoughtfulness... :lol:

Hi Ann - oh yeah - I live next to a county park, with beach access. yesterday was unreal - sunny, warm, and out they all came. Parking is so limited, what a mess that was. There were cars everywhere, some of them illegally parked. Beach was as crowded too. I often wonder why - we are a sound beach, very rocky in most places, one swims with the seaweed and the kelp. :shock: :lol: sand is intermittent. :o :roll: and yet there they were, a few with beach umbrellas and coolers.... LOL! I walked on down to the remote park of the shoreline - tide was way out.... watched the heron, even saw a river otter. NICE! --- and yes on Mannie -we are now blue. :-D

Hi Roni - yes on the rains!, and I know... I need to shop some today, maybe it won't be too bad then. and I think you are right - we seem to have a slider day going on.... :cool: :cool: :oops:

Hi Lauren - awesome to hear from you. yep, all is A-OK in MannieLand - normal sequence of events... :lol: :lol: I know on the icky morning, though I do hope they are right and that we get some sun later today.. Maybe it's good that it is raining... I need to clean a little, pay the bills, shop for DGS stuff... it's a good day for it. I hope the shoppers aren't out today...

Hi Michelle, Yep, it's a good time to stay home. Lots of tourists here, too (with the double holiday weekend: Canada Day and the 4th of July). We're going out to walk around the little pond (peaceful there; it's too small for motor boats!).

Hi Ella - I know.... ugh! I need to head over to the baby store to get a few things for the little guy. He's close to being mobile, with the crawling etc... I need a couple of gates! then maybe a walk to the shore. It is drizzly today, so I hope the trail and the shore won't be as nuts as it was yesterday. I can imagine how crazy it is there for you- you have two holidays to deal with!

I hope you had a great hike to the shore, the drizzle may be a good thing I'm avoiding all the parks here too. The beach is definitely a zoo. Maybe a little cat food shopping. :?

Hi Tracy - well... the first part was great - darn that +11. :lol: he has a tendency to do that: spike at +11, come down for pmps. I hope tonight is the same... and thanks - I like it here, we are close to the water, makes it nice. Right next to a county park - that makes it even better: woods, and a few trails. :cool:

Hi Ann - yep, walk was nice. I headed on down during the drizzly stuff we had for a while - it's nice and quite then, as most people won't visit when it rains. so I could explore the low tides before the weather cleared and the masses showed up, which they did. YAY!: success. I made it home without having to endure the crazies... :roll: :roll: :lol:

TESS! You betcha !!!! I wanna help with the cakes. PAW PRINTS! I LUBS those cakes. The paw licking is the best part... SWEET! See you soon! ~~ Mannie. oh.... YAY on your green apron... I have to fake it. do you think anyone will notice?

Hi Marje - I know... Mannie sure is.... yep - I like them too. I find those kind of walks very calming, peaceful. Rains can bring out the hidden beauty of such ordinary things, fun stuff!

Wow!!! Mannie sure knows how to turn his day around!! His PM cycle is already looking pretty good!! That's what he gets for not whacking the civvies this morning....the planets aren't aligned correctly and his numbers get out of sync! But he's the master; he reined them in!!

Hope your raining day has been relaxing. We've had some clouds roll in and I'm PRAYING for some rain. People are notorious in Las Vegas for lighting off illegal fireworks so it would be nice to have some rain to wet things down a bit!!

Looks like Mannie is anxious to get back down to blue or green. Great that you got in a walk before all the tourist reappeared. Here in Mickeyville (Orlando) we have tourist year round. Weather should be good after tomorrow. Learned that when I lived there. Enjoy your pictures of the mountains, I really miss them. Happy 4th.

Hi Patty - amazing isn't it - I thought for sure we would have a yellow day, sprinkled with blue. Looks like he has other plans. :lol: love the planet analogy - for all we know it is true! and yes on the rainy day - I don't mind them at all... I find them relaxing, and heck - I still go out for walks, rain or shine. I hope you get some rain - got to be a little scary with all those fireworks, and all that dry...

Hi Barbara - I thinks so too - ready to hit the green floor. oh yes made the walk/trek before all the tourists showed, and all the locals that think they finally should visit their shoreline. nutsville! Yep -we have a great forecast for tomorrow, and the rest of the week: so looking forward to that - hope I can make one hike day at this coming weekend. :-D so agreed on the mountains - one of my favorite places...

Hi Ella - I had so hoped, but it looks like he is intent upon a blue board tonight. Not too bad though!

Rusty - I KNOW!! Look at the size of his PAW! :shock: we will have to tell Tess she is one good pastry chef - those cakes were the beat. Hmmmmm - party tomorrow for the 4th??? We should have a big huge BBQ or something.... time to plan! midnight planning party at the lagoon? ~~ Mannie
