In reviewing Mac's SS's, I believed the days he tested green or blues were also days I gave him fluids, either that day or the day before.

He was dehydrated when he started on the insulin and feeling crappy and not eating so I gave him 100 CC's. I have given him 50s cc's on 2 other days. Just a working theory.

Would giving him a little bit of fluids each day help since he has still been peeing quite a bit or would that give a false sense of the insulin working better than it is?

Update: Since his +4 was 459 I decided to try out the fluid theory and gave him between 50-75 CC of fluids at 11:15 a.m.

Thanks

I’d add lots of water to his freeze dried. What about using the frozen Primal which is the same as the freeze dried but more water in it? I use it and Small Batch frozen and still add a little water. Unless dehydrated I personally would not give sub-q fluids.

His food is not freeze dried. It is Lotus raw venison (frozen section). It is raw which I blend with a bit of water to make it easier for him to lap up.
