The best news ever today. Khloe, all by herself with no assistance, went IN the litter box to pee this morning!!! We are officially 48 hours with ZERO accidents outside the box. 🎉🥳
(I still plan to get her checked out but it takes a lot of phone tag to actually speak to my vet. We still haven’t spoken)

I’m grateful today that she didn’t get dangerously low last night. After that 89 at +4, I went to go set an alarm for +5 but I woke up at +8 with the phone still in my hand.

Wood glue has been applied to all surf boards today. I expect nothing but blues and dark greens today kitties. The CGs are counting on you!! 💜

Here’s a pic of Khloe with her “I’m in the blues” look and begging (demanding? lol) for my roast beef sandwich.

Hehe another adorable food beggar! How can you ever say no to those precious big green eyes? (JK I say no to Moonie’s all the time)

I am so happy for you two!! Congrats Khloe on two days successfully going in the litter box, a beautiful green nadir last night, and blue AMPS today! I imagine all three things are related which means hopefully lots and lots more days like this to come in the future 🥰

Have a nice steady surf today Khloe! Your mom is using all the wood glue!!! 🌊🏄‍♀️

You’ve got this! It might be worth offering a little LC too to ease your mind and help soften her slide down a bit when you see a decline this big. That way you’re not as anxious about the +3 number :)

I think Khloe is just saying - see mom this is what you get when you wood glue me to the surfboard 🤣

I’m really trying not to interfere with food and stick to the normal eating schedule (unless she’s dangerously low obviously). It’s scary but I want to see how she reacts on this dose without changing another variable (like feeding when I normally don’t).
She has a scheduled meal for +3 so… I’m staring at her for now 😂 but might have to consider changing the food schedule at some point.

Right?? Maybe the wood glue was alittle unnecessary today! But looks like it kept Moonie on the board!

That makes sense! I don’t think I started steering her curve with food either until she showed me a lime 😅. To be fair, before then, whenever I steered her I did end up regretting it - like when I panic gave her 1.5 tsp of FF gravy and it took her from 96 to 142 in 20 minutes.

I will say doing a bit of food steering / experimenting before I saw the lime was really helpful in understanding Moonie’s carb sensitivity, so that I didn’t faint when I saw a low number for the first time. But if you already have a good sense, it’s probably overkill :)

I’m wondering what Moonie’s pm cycle will bring. Marje said flat blue or yellow cycles often come before a bounce break and she’s now shown me both back to back so… 😱

I hope Khloe’s wood glue keeps her firmly on the surfboard and away from the scuba dive!!!

I’m still working it out as we go 😅 but hey she stayed flat without food so yay!

I just looked at Moonie’s SS and see what you mean! Looks like last time she was on 3.0 she got all the way to 68 too! So fingers crossed you’ve got the right dose for now!! I guess it’s a blessing and a curse that Moonie takes so long to break bounces, but at least you got to rest alittle!

Exactly, Moonie gives us a bit of reprieve before she sneak attacks us with a lime but at least this time I’m prepared 🤣

Ha, My little stinker never pees in the litter box. She will only use a pee pad, which thank goodness she uses religiously. She used to poop in the box, but now she just uses the floor. But its only on the tile floor (easy to clean) Well sometimes on the laminate.😏 Nothing wrong with her, shes just being the Tortie she is, lol. Khloes SS looks amazing lately! Great job!
