Thank you. I will call them Tuesday and see if we can get some blood work. Unfortunately my vets not very knowledgeable with diabetes and the advice here is the only thing that got him in remission. He was prescribed a fast acting insulin and RX glucose food which is obscured now that I know how high in carb the RX glucose food is. I’m reaching out on Facebook in my city group to see if I can find a knowledgeable vet. I’m going to need dosing advice here though I have Levemir on hand and hoping that’s ok to keep using so I can save some expenses
We are currently going thru the same with our Chico, he started having higher BG since the beginning of June. We took him to the vet for a blood test and after for a dental. We started insulin pretty soon after the BG started raising and now he seems to be doing pretty well. Don’t get disappointed just yet, do some tests to see what is the cause
duhh, tell that to us who didn’t have to give insulin to our cat for the past 9 moths meanwhile he was constantly under 5.5 
Oh I see what you’re saying I kind of misunderstood the whole teeth thing I was like why are we checking the teeth OK so now I understand. But I’m half asleep reading some of this lol. I’ll get a senior panel done. I’m kind of anxious about starting him on insulin again back sooner than later but I figure I shouldn’t interfere with whatever tests the veterinarian may offer
I have some for personal use and Levimir. I may have the vet put the libre on when I visit. Although he seems to mess them up and a weeks time and they stop working. Oreo had the PU surgery squats when he pees and is super skittish in the litter box he will run off and pee along the way. I’ll have the vet check him. Wish I could start dosing home now I’m just anxious
