Good Morning LL! Long night last night indeed. Missed the +9 check, but I suppose being up until +8 was good enough. :roll: Tess got her first dip under 50 last night, of course she waited until 11:30 pm to do it.

I have a question on food. Does anyone feed Nature's Variety "Instinct - Rabbit formula"? Is it the same as Natures Variety Rabbit at 8% on the old list? It is supposed to be 95% Rabbit and Pork Liver. But, there is no ash listed on the label so the calculator gives a really high number, 24% DM or 19.5% ME. You can't really add the rest if the ingredients to get ash as not all are listed as %. I've run into this on several higher end canned foods. This is what Tess ate last night as the "8%" food, and she certainly didn't react as if it was 24%. I'll post this in health too.

WCR Only 4 Ps so far, but lots of playing! Tess found one of her missing mice , then went nuts over the dried stem from some fresh catnip. Good appetite, breffis 1 and 2 gone. #2 was in the timed feeder and she went to it when it opened. Now if I can count on that when she isn't sitting next to the feeder when it opens. :roll: Maybe I can leave the PM+9 in the feeder and not get up? Problem is, no test and i don't know if she will be awake to notice it.

omg Ann - how do you do it - when do you sleep.... I am so horrible with night alarms, etc. One of my fears is if Mannie ever gets to the point where we see numbers like Tess's, would I get up when I need too. I suppose so... But WOW! my hat goes off to you.

No clue on the food... I have yet to even find a store that sells that kind of stuff. One would think that with a big city like Seattle it would not be an issue. I guess I need to look more - I just haven't. Mannie will eat wellness chicken day in and day out, so I haven't had to look for others.

Mannie is fairly good with his timed feeder. I spent a week or so with him when I bought it - didn't take him long to learn that "that sound" meant food. He rarely misses... though there have been a few times when he has slept through it. I guess maybe try a night or two, and see what happens? I would guess that maybe she would find it if she were hungry, if she needed food. ??

No rest for the wicked, i was dreaming of btb, but Miss Tess has other ideas. 100 point drop by +2. Guess she is aiming at <59 #2.

Michelle, what is sleep? Oh yeah that thing that keeps happening when you are waiting to test again. You'll notice the times for some of the tests are a little strange. This morning, no way could i get up when the +9 alarm went off. But Tess was nice and had a bouncette so I didn't feel too guilty. Back to the races now though. bcatrun_gif

Hey Ann - I know - they keep telling me sleep is over-rated. :shock: oh sure....

well another day of off to the races for you! Mannie on the other hand seems to have decided that pink is the color of the day. oh great.

Maybe i should have saved Kawabunga kitty for today! down to 52 already. I fed Tess 4th breffis, it was only 3 % though. I just wasn't sure what the carbs really were for the rabbit. That will be the next snack again though. Also the missing P has made it's appearance in the LB. So I get to clean it again! :sad:

Pretty much holding steady. :mrgreen: Looks like another surf day. I gave Tess a tsp of the rabbit. Someone in Health said that the NV Instincts Rabbit was the one on the old list. Small snacks didn't seem to raise her up much last night though. I'm not sure that I want her to go <50 again today though. I thinks she needs to slow down and really get the dose set.

Even tough her numbers are low today she Tess a great appetite. :-D I'm usually struggling to get her to eat when she is like this. She is loving this rabbit. I wish more companies made rabbit food for cats. I know years ago when I was struggling w/ CRF in Cleo I was getting a julienned rabbit canned food. I think it was either Hill or from Trader Joe's. Can't find it now, anyone ever hear of it?

Oh my, oh my, no napping for Tess' mom today.
I too was wondering how you manage to do all that night time testing. I'm lucky to get in a + 2 or 3, at night. Of course I would, if there was a chance Checks would drop during the nite, but so far, not.
I hope she stays stable today for you, Ann.

Still surfing the 50s. Just gave her some more rabbit, but so far hasn't had that much effect to bring her up even though 8% is usually all she needs. last night i thought it was what had taken her up to 72 but maybe she was just done w/ the surf anyway. I think I'll add some 11% FF Turkey Florentine too. ... That's gone too! So far she has eaten and extra 3/4 oz this morning. I've got to admit, that last one even smelled good to me. :razz:

I'm usually a night owl so staying up until midnight (+6) isn't that bad. It's getting up in the morning that kills me! @-) I think I'm going to try depending on the feeder for the +9. Usually that's DH , but since he is in MN I'm having a hard time w/ it. And then getting up at 6:15am. The best thing is the iPod Touch, I can preset 12 or more times, even have them go off every day w/out resetting. And it is loud enough to wake me! :lol: Although that doesn't necessarily get me out of bed. :roll:

We are definitely having a nap this afternoon! But I have got to go get more catfood first.

You and me and the pajama party. :mrgreen: That Tess is getting famous for her great numbers. Great job by you in feeding to control the drop. I hope you can nap today, I'm just drinking more coffee. ~O) ~O)

What a gorgeous surf. I do set the feeder for +8 or +9. The food is usually gone. I honest think you get less sleep than I do. I get quite a few unbroken hours.

I-) I-) I-) I-) I-) I-) I feel guilty for the 5.5 I get at night.... I do know that if I were in your shoes I'd be doing the same thing you do. I wonder if you can skip a test or two, if she can hold the surf, but then noticed that you feed most of them too, so guess not. Know I would be if it were Mannie. WOW! you still amaze me... Another fantastic day for Tess. Very nice pmps....

Hey Tess! Can I borrow some of your greens? I'm running a little short on them... I hope to surf with Stu later - maybe bring my rainbow board if my numbers are still in the tank - wanna come? ~~ Mannie

Hey Ann & Tess, Those are gorgeous numbers today. They are worth the lack of sleep, (I guess)!!! I believe that Wysong (is it still in existence?) used to make canned rabbit (raw, I think), and there is a company called BG (before grains) that makes 100% meat, and I think that rabbit is one of the offerings. Next time I go to that fancy pet-food store in Plattsburgh, I'll check. The BG cans have to be supplemented because they don't contain any of the vitamins,, etc.--just meat.
