AMPS of 64. I am not going to be home all day and my mom has been struggling sometimes to get his BG in the afternoon. I am giving a BCS dose today of 1u, I really don't feel comfortable doing otherwise. Hope it is the right decision.

don't worry. it's always best to err on the side of caution when you won't be around to monitor.

Great job, and also leave out lots of food when you will be out!

Wow...dramatic AMPS today Napoleon....good job with the shooting. Hope Napoleon will eat lots of food while you are gone...

I have no idea how low he dropped last night. I went to bed after taking his reading at +4 and it was 149. I fed him his usual and went to sleep. My husband had to leave for work early this morning so I figure what the heck let me take his BG at it was 64 at +10, which makes me think he probably was even lower than that mid cycle. But he was acting fine, no hypo signs. So I gave him a lc FF snack and went back to bed for a little while. He was still 64 at AMPS so like everyone agrees, better safe than sorry. I took his +1 after eating and it was 123 so he did go up, hopefully that 1u will do a little something to bring him back down or to keep him at least level until tonight's shot. I may have messed up the shed, sure hope I didnt. I just didn't want to take any chances. I will see if my mom can get his +5 for me when she feeds him lunch. Hopefully he will just surf in the blues - or better greens!- like he did for me last time I shot my BCS dose with a lower than normal PS (surfed blue). This is definitely the lowest he has been PS thus far.

Ok, not as bad as I thought. I actually thought he would be higher at +5 having just got 1u this morning.

+5 224 - this is actually right where he was at yesterday's reading

I peeked at your SS and saw that Napoleon bounced. :sad: Sorry about that, but you did the right thing.

I did regret after I saw that bounce, but if it went in the other direction it would not have been good. He is on his way back down. 7/30 AMPS 266.
