EEEKKKK!!! Moonie's number today is pretty high for her!! Pen is 33 days old!--last night I thought I smelled insulin on her, but not positive--Let's see where she goes today & maybe I will use a new pen if she doesnt come down! She was pretty quiet last night, and today..Maybe she doesnt feel so good being so high-
We will see today--I am trying to think positive & not put myself into a depression..
Eye looks the same, no worse, pray it is a treatable problem.
Gave her a little drop more insulin today--Hope she is better later-

Hi Roni, sorry Moonie is high today, but maybe it was a partial fur shot or a new pen needed. I'm sure she will come down today. Good thoughts and prayers for you and Moonie today. Try not to worry but i do understand, as easier said than done. Hugs to you and scritches to Moonie.

I know it's probablly impossible, but try not to worry too much. I know you're scared but Moonie might be picking up on that but hopefully it's just a fur shot and she will come down for you today.

Hi guys .. sorry to see moonie so high .. maybe she senses you are stressed? I know it's hard not to be when we know something isn't right .. but let's think positive thoughts here ...

Hi Roni, It's probably a combination of a partial fur shot and the insulin getting old. See what happens when you open a new pen. Moonie will be back in her good numbers in no time. The hot, humid weather and the influence of the new moon could also be factors. I'm glad that Moonie's eye is remaining stable. It's good that you'll be having the vet check it out.

Keep cool this weekend! I hear that it will be really hot and humid in NYC. Do you have a show this weekend? If so, drink lots of water out there!!

I hope it's nothing big, just something that is relatively minor and can be treated easily.....
Meanwhile, until you can get to your vet appt, try to just take deep breaths and not go off the deep end with worry. It's so hard to NOT get crazy over things that involve our furbabies though, I know. Keep giving her lots of love and try to relax....I know how difficult it is to not worry though....HUGS to you both!!!! :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Well, she did come down some, Thankfully, so even though the pen is only 1/2 full, I will open a new one if there is no action by tomorrow--I actually got 40 days from the last pen we used!! How amazing!
Watching my girl today--Someday I will get a mani & pedi I hope! Something always comes up!! ohmygod_smile

That's the right direction Miss Moonie! Get those numbers down so your bean can stop stressing.

If her eye is no worse that is a positive thing. What exactly are you seeing? What is the discoloration? If it is redness, perhaps she scratched it.

Moonie hasnt been eating much today, & was trying to hock up a hairball(she hardly has any, but ate dried chicken treats & about 1/2-3/4 can ff which I hand fed her..
Dont know if she is picking up my mood or not, or if she feels lousy from being high-
She knows I am trying to look at her eyes, ahe always knows when something is up!
Hope she improves today! Me too! Gotta stop trying to examine her!
I would have gone to vet sooner, but the one I want to see isnt in till wednesday--I think she';s worth waiting for--

Ate most of her am food late in the day! She slept quite a bit, & it rained 2X here--
She mopes when it rains & so did Copper(guess there's no excitement in a rain storm) nailbite_smile ;-)
Hope she ;-) acts more like herself tonite--Looked at her eye a few times, but she knows I want to see it, so she will stay away--Smart lil critter!!--BBL!

Hi Roni, they are so smart, and I do think they pick up on our worries, Has her eye gotten any worse or is it the same? It's the waiting that's hard. I wish you could get in sooner, but I'd want the same Vet, too. Hang in there and hope Moonie perks up tonight. Hugs and lubs and scritches to Moonie.

That's it starting a new pen tomorrow, my last! Will reorder new insulin & hope it survives the heat!
Moonie's been rather slow & draggy, she hasnt had consistant high number in a long time--Hope new Pen will help--May all ailing Kitties, Moonie, Rocket, Gus & all others feel much better tomorrow--
May all LLanders have sweet dreams,quiet sleepus, and good health--
Prayers are being said for dear Rocket & Claudia, that he makes a great comeback tomorrow
