Good Morning World! Yesterday

AMPS 298

ALMOST visiting dat ugly pink toad suit this morning - he looks so awful in pink. I'm going back up to the 2.25u's that causes him to dive when he doesn't eat but if I don't, we'll just see more stinky pink.

This morning we're hunting our latest abandoned baby, Leo. Here is his story from yesterday. He somehow CLIMBED to the roof of the back porch and pushed out a clear plexiglass skylight during the night last night and got out. I'm SO upset about it but all we can do is call and hope we see him again. I can't believe she left him - WHY do people do that? I just don't get it...takes the dogs and leaves this poor sweet BIG SKINNY orinch boy kitty. I'm not sure just what I'm going to do with him when he comes strolling in shortly (I HOPE I HOPE). He doesn't need to even ever be outside - he's long haired and tangles terribly. She didn't ever bother to check 'the wares' when she got him a year ago, decided he was a 'she' and named him 'Lilly'. We've already got a Lilly so we've renamed him Leo.

KT's doing great! Hoping for better #s for you both tomorrow, and I hope that she eats more. She needs to keep up her strength.

Sending tons of positive thoughts for Leo's safe return. He definitely deserves a better home than his former one, and I think he's chosen you folks as his new family.

There's a cat that belongs next door that comes around and tries to get some food from our outdoor kitty, Shadow. I have to be vigilant and stay there with her while she eats. We can't afford to feed another cat, and DH won't allow more cats here. However, I try to make sure that he's as flea-free as possible, even if he doesn't like it. I hate seeing a cat suffer. Dogs don't show up here because our property is fenced in.

I normally tell people to put food near the exit when they have an escaped cat but how do you do that with a roof exit.
Your best chance at him showing back up is food. Be sure and leave some out for him near his old home.
Some other critter may find it but he should too.

Even a week or two later.

My sisterinlaw recently visiting other family, left a window open in their house because she was smoking secretly, and
the abssynian got out. ( never been out before) ( cat mom was in hospital having surgery)
Imagine coming home from surgery and finding out your cat is lost.
No sighting for a week. I told sisterinlaw to put food near where cat got out so that if cat showed up at 2 am trying to make
it's way back and no one is around, it reinforces the cat to keep coming back.
It took 8 days. There he was , one night at midnight, she was outside smoking and he returned. Thankfully!
Poor cat was covered in scratches and traumatized and now that cat has no interest in leaving .

LEO'S HOME!! Well, technically he never left...somehow he got in our water terminal box - just found him curled up around about 10 water pipes. Funny thing...when I thought he was gone, I opened the cat door, left big door open..and he never left...OR snuck back in but I don't think that was the case...

There's always a rainbow somewhere after a storm!! Glad so glad he's back--KT is doing great!

Well, Leo, I guess you really like your new home! You are one lucky kitty, that's for sure. You have acquired the bestest mama and papa beans and a whole bunch of fur brothers and sisters.

Yay!!! Leo is found! Phew, what a relief. Did he act like "what are you so upset about?" :lol: :lol: I have to admit that I was surprised that he would leave. I always thought that once you fed a cat... KT, come down from there. And bring all the other kitties with you. There is way too big of a party up there today. :-x :roll:
