Still blue !!! I have to figure out how much to or in micro chip feeder. She will have her breakfast then I set feeder and she will have that gone before I turn around.

On agenda today, calling insurance company about a bill I received where the tests were done over a year ago.

And making pickles, folding all the laundry.

Today is the 1 week mark of having surgery. Husband slept better Last night. Swelling in right foot is down (must have been the lunch on way home we had). The whole right leg is bruised (purple) from the balloon pump and vein they took from that leg. Even the bottom of his foot is bruised.

Everyone have a great day.

Nice start for Ollie. I hope she keeps surfing for you. Glad DH slept better. Sending more prayers for his recovery.

Keep up the great work Olive!!

I’m glad to hear the report about your DH, it sounds like he’s doing really well so far!

What kind of pickles are you making? I only have experience making mustard pickles... which I love :)

Garlic dill pickles. Just add dill seed and minced/chopped garlic to the jars instead of mustard. I make the brine ahead of time and store in spaghetti jars in fridge so it's super easy.

You're so smart!! I would like to try more complex pickle recipes, unfortunately I don't have the yard for a big garden and we don't have a farmers market in town. I would love to try dill pickles, pickled carrots, and pickled beets... even try some relishes :D I'm a big fan of making jellies and jams so I know I would enjoy it :)

Thanks for the tips! maybe my local grocer will be stocking some english cukes soon for me to try :D

It's so good to hear about DH's recovery! Sorry for the bruising, gosh, that's got to be tender. Sending well wishes to DH, luvies to all the furkids, and wishes for you to enjoy putting up those pickles and hopefully finding time just to put your feet up.

Good new for Ollie and glad DH swollen foot returning to norm. Hope you all can relax today.:bighug:

Eta: I know what you mean about all the bruising. So many pokes and prods. I hope it recedes well and normally.

I had the same thing happen! I wonder how many busy people just pay & don't even notice being over charged! Good thing you caught it.
Sounds like DH is doing pretty good! :)

Hope you get some. I use the parts I don't make pickles with and make sweet relish. I also use frozen strawberries to make jam. I planted garlic last fall thinking I can, can them to use in my pickles.

Called insurance company first, claim wasn't submitted in the 180 day time frame so insurance refused it. If it was submitted on time it would have been paid 100% as my plan covers routine annual bloodwork. Therefore, I am not responsible to pay it. Then talked to provider and had to submit the EOB that said it wasn't sent in time.
