We upped the dose today to a fat .75 and saw about 4 hours of blues. So glad we had an improvement.

Tiger is still not dinking water, except in his food, and is sleeping a lot. Yesterday he did something he’s never done, walked to the foyer and peeed on the wool rug. What?! Hubby thinks it’s because the litter box needed cleaning, which he did immediately! We’re definitely watching him on this! We have been monitoring and he has been using his box both before and after the incident. I know urinary problems can also cause this but they did a urinalysis in the ER a week ago.
He has a vet appointment Tuesday for a check up and sensor change so we will bring this up then.

Alway something new to figure out. I do think something is bothering him, maybe the loss of teeth? I think it maybe something else…

wishing everyone a peaceful night!

Good morning Deb, so nice to see this long string of blue! Good job Tiger and good job Deb!:cool::cool::cool:

I am sorry about him peeing on the rug. I hope it was really just a complaint about the room-service. My neighbors cat used to do that any time he forgot to clean the toilet after she used it. He ended up buying a second toilet. That's what I did with Binie after her diagnosis because she is peing so much.

And Tiger also has been through a lot the last time. Maybe he just needs some time to come down again. And it looks like you checked everything one would check in this situation. I hope everything turns out fine for Tiger and you! He is so lucky to have you and your DH who care so much. :cat::kiss:

I hope you have a beautiful day and your ankle gets better! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Deb, as Heike mentioned, do you have more than one box?
I know the recommended number is at least 1 box plus 1 extra box per cat.
(When I had 2 cats I had 3 boxes)

I scoop Ivy’s box constantly so there is never any build up. No pee smell at all. (But I’m constantly going in her room to see her and if she’s used the box, I scoop).
I once had a cat who peed in all the wrong places and marked the house (he was terrorized by the next door cat who came up to the window. It was a nightmare). But I learned the importance of a very clean box.

I hope it was just a protest from Tiger about the box.

I hope he’s feeling better each day. Hope the vet appointment goes well tomorrow.
Hugs and healing to you both :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thanks you 2! It may have been the problem. We have one of those box covers that looks like a table. So I had hubby take it out and just use another litter box we had. Last night after using the new box before bed, Tiger came out, scratched his scratcher and actually played with a toy for a short bit. Maybe coincidence, maybe not. I’ll be watching….
