Good day LL,

4ps in place.

Everything is ok besides the way she is swallowing. Like it hurts from the intubation. Anyone has had that experience too?

She is eating normally. Cleaning. All fine. Teeth are clean and white :-D

Gordo is not liking her again. Weird cat. ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile

I'm glad she is acting more normally, I don't know about the swallowing. You are probably right about the intubation irritating her throat.

Enana! KTSS is on the way to get that nasty vet smell off you. Maybe we can do Gordo too so you smell the same! -- Tess

Nice slidage today on your way to blue Miss Enana!-You are almost blue!!-Guess the intubation could be bothering her somewhat--I'm sure she will be better by tomorrow-If not call vetty..Lubs you guys a lot--Hugs from us!

Hi guys .. don't know about the swallowing issue .. I guess give it a day or two and see if she's better? Glad her teeth are pearly white!

Hi Natalia and so happy Enana sailed thru the dental. On the throat issue, wish I knew! Glad to hear she is eating though, so it's a good sign. If you're concerned maybe a call to the Vet, or they may even call to check on her.

We did have that happen to Gus once. It should abate within a day..two max. If it doesn't I would call vet by tomorrow. Glad she's eating.

I don't know anything about the swallowing issue. Enana may just have a little sore throat and it will be better in a day or two. Glad to hear she is eating and those pearly whites must be beautiful. The vetty smell is just awful -- it is funny how 2 cats will be the best of friends and when one comes home from the vet, it is like they are the biggest enemies!

hope Enana's sore throat eases and she's better by tomorrow.
Gordo isn't liking the vetty smell on her, a strange icky smell that reminds him of checkups and needles. Can't say as I blame him but he'll be back to loving Enana in no time.

Do most cats need a dose reduction after a dental? I dont mean the day of, but one as a result of having clean teeth.

hi

sorry I missed ur dental day, but looks like things went ok, minus the not eating....I would think unless there was an infection that raised or kept numbers higher, but she just got a cleaning, not too sure about how numbers would be affected., maybe others can add some input too.

you could cross post that question in Health too.

One of CD's cats had a significant problem with her throat after a dental. Send CD/Big Mac a PM -- I don't remember all of the details.

Some cats will need a dose reduction after a dental. If the tartar/gingivitis was causing an inflammation, the dental will drop their numbers.

Trixie went from 1.25U to .75U very shortly (but not immediately) after her dental. Of course now, a few months later, she's working her way back up the dosing scale, so she may not be the best example :roll: ...

Glad it went well. I have no idea on the swallowing. We have to do our first dental next month. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!
