All good here this morning. Anne got home at 11 last night, 1 hour later than scheduled because the interstate was closed due to an accident and the shuttle had to detour. There are not a lot of choices in AZ. But she made it and is still sleeping. We had a thunderstorm with some nice rain, about the time of testing/feeding/shooting. The lights flickered a couple of times and a loud clap of thunder made everyone jump. But everything went smoothly and now Zener is helping with his condo.

Georgia: Zener has been a super good boy while Anne was gone. :-D

Roni: I agree, it's been a lot of sacrifice but well worth it. Especially meeting all the great people in LL who are just as cat-crazy as we are! I tell my sisters that the people here are more cat-crazy than we are and they can't believe it.

Julie: Zener appreciates your sympathy. He's doing better so it was time. We won't wait quite so long next time. Paws crossed for punkin to feel better soon. C. difficile be gone!

Libby: Yep, we liked those cycles yesterday too. Let's see what today brings. It's always something different with our guy.

Thinking of Lyresa and DH today (DH has been having severe attacks from his hypokalemic periodic paralysis), hope he's doing better. Also thinking of Ruben (had very low BG last night from a possible overdose, Sue took him to the ER and he seems to be fine). Sending healing energy to punkin (on ABs for C. difficile - the things I learn here  ) to get his gut back in shape. We can't have his CPC membership questioned. Happy Friday LL!
Liz

Welcome home, Anne! Wow, Z-man, that is a gorgeous welcome you provided for your bean! Things are looking good in AZ, bean home, rain (I'm jealous!) and a green kitty! What more could you want?

Hi Liz, wow Zener man is looking pretty good there at the +4! Glad Anne made it home okay. I can imagine she must be exhausted and jet lagged, too! Glad everything is good there with Zener and Tilly.
Maggie says thanks to Detective Poo and should have a report later!

@Ann & Tess - thanks, it is SO good to be home! Zener is hanging in my favorite color

@Ann & Maggie - tired and jet lagged, but I'm not feeling too bad considering. Detective Poo has earned her promotion, as soon as we figure out the right designation.

@Roni - Zener did so great while I was gone, his BIC earns the gold medal! Everyone was glad to see me and Tillie is especially glad her family is all together again.

Chief Inspector Crapdash is home from the motherland and on duty. There was a lot of evidence to inspect after being away for 10 days. This morning was easy though as Zener was very cooperative in making sure it was well known where he was and what he was doing!

Scotland was fabulous and felt very familiar in many ways, probably my southern upbringing full of Scottish ancestors. I was busy with meetings and a conference most of the time, but had two days to do a little sight seeing. One day on a 2-hour boat ride on Loch Lomond and visiting the national park there. The other day on the "hop on hop off" bus around Glasgow, high tea at the Willow Tea Room and then tickets to see the opening women's soccer match in Hampden Park Glasgow - US vs France. Very exciting with lots of scoring and our seats were only 10 rows off the pitch. Once I get my pictures sorted, I'll post somewhere and put up a link in loose lips.

Thanks to all for the good travel wishes and welcome home greetings. And thanks for keeping Liz company and watching out for my BIC and the kitties while I was away. It's good to be home!

Re: 7/27 Zener PMPS 103

Sorry for the late visit. Playing catch-up after our exciting day.

NICE day, Zener! Sounds like a wonderful trip, Anne!

We got rain (storm) tonight, too. YAY!! But, that's the other reason for the late visit. No computers during storms!!!

Have a great night -

Libby (& Hershey, too!)

Welcome home, Anne! Glad you had a great trip -- the scenery in Scotland is so gorgeous. DH and I are planning a trip back to Scotland next year and I can't wait!

Very nice evening for Zener!

Re: 7/27 Zener PMPS 103;+1 172

hi liz! so sweet of you to check in on mr punkin. he's *fingers crossed* doing better! definitely more interested in eating, CPC achieved today and a normal poop in the box. wahoo! who could ever get so excited about a litter box!?!

welcome home, anne! DH just turned on the opening ceremonies - pretty darned exciting that you got to be there! his company did the engineering that built the olympic facilities so he's pretty excited about the whole thing. i have friends that walked LeJog - from Land's End to John of Groats - last spring. they went from the southern tip of England to the northern tip of Scotland.

zener is looking pretty nice today! little blue surf for the man. keep it up little buddy! cat_pet_icon

Nice blue, slow easy no drama-rama cycle, so far. ;-) Good thing for my first night back on the evening duty!

+2 118, 0.65oz 10%
+3 112, 0.65oz 10%

@Libby & Hershey too - no worries about late visits, we are on Pacific time so it's still early here. Yikes on the storms!

@Amy - thanks for the welcome home wishes, and the big guy is really doing great!

@Georgia - thanks for welcoming me home to LL. Scotland was gorgeous and I only saw a small bit. Liz and I will have to go back someday when we can travel around and see the highlands and the wild west coast. You can give us travel tips!

@julie & punkin - poo patrol is pleased on the state of poo in punkinland! C diff is a toughie, so normal poo already is a good sign. There were two people staying in the guest house in Glasgow where I was the last two nights and they had on t-shirts proclaiming they had done that walk. I didn't know what it was so now I do! Liz did such a great job as BIC and Zener is doing so well. Woo hoo!

Liz is off to bed and I'm going to try to hang on for another hour or so. Sleeping in your own bed after being away... heaven! :-D
