7/27 Junior AMPS 103, then 174

Morning,

Wow, what a time this morning....he gave me 103 at 5.55am, I said OMG, and got out my book of notes and stickies, TG for them!
I fed him a tablespoon of FF Turk with water, waited 15 minutes and tested again, got 174, said ok finished feeding and gave him his 2 units. Checked him again right befeore leaving for work, he had come up a few more numbers...he does food spike , and he was running around playing!

Having Injections this afternoon on my back, again, and will be home by 3.00pm, I hope, will check him again on the late side.

still no computer outside of work, working on it...

have a wonderful weekend, and someone let me know how I did, please?????

Hi Kay, those lower numbers do give a little rush of adrenalin, don't they? Especially early in the morning, better than coffee. :lol: I probably would not have fed him anything but tested again in 15-20 mins to see which way he's going. That 174 is food influenced but you don't know how much. It took us forever to realize to not feed when we got a low pre-shot number but to just wait and test again. Great job on testing your guy! I hope the back injections go smoothly. Are Junior and Sparky littermates?

Hi Anne,

Yes, theres was an adrenalin rush, and when I got home Friday night and reread my stickies, I realized what I did was wrong, like you said I should have stalled 15 minutes, no food, and then tested again...I will know for next time!

Back injuections helped til I fell on the cement floor Sunday morning, I can be such a klutz...

and yes, Junior & Sparky are littermates, orange & white tabbies, Junior is 11 lbs even again, and Sparky is a whopping 19 lbs. all muscle, but bows down to his brother....!!!!
