We are well into the throes of getting rid of most of our worldly possessions (extreme downsizing to move into our RV), so it has been unbelievably busy around here! Because of that, I haven't been online much.
I'm not sure what dosage is better for Boris right now. If you look at his SS, he was staying in the greens nicely at 0.25u, but per protocol, we dropped his dose again when he fell below 90. I'm starting to wonder if we were too aggressive, and if we should've ridden it out at 0.25u for longer than 3 days.
We dropped him down to a drop dose (push the plunger all the way in, insert syringe into bottle, release plunger), but his BG numbers came up, sometimes into the high 100's. I was away, and it was easier for my husband to do that while I was gone, so when I came home, we upped him to what I'm calling a "fat drop". We are lining the plunger up so that it juuuust kisses the bottom side of the 0u line. I'm not sure, maybe that'd be considered 0.1u? That seems to keep him in the blues most of the time.
Should we be increasing his dose up to where he's more in the greens (0.25u) and let it ride for a week or two? Or do we accept the blues with the occasional dip into the greens as a good dose, and run with that for a while? I'm just not sure which is the better choice, as I feel like he really wants to go into remission, and might have a better chance if he's in the greens more often.
Thanks for any input!
