Good morning LL!

All 5 p's. Tarragon is liking this dose. What a busy weekend. I haven't been able to get to condos but will try later today. Know that I am thinking of you all.

Have a great Monday!

Re: 7/25 Tarragon AMPS 284

Julie - Nope. Actually, the 10 day forecast is for 105-108 every day. We usually get about 17 days over 100 a year, but that happens in August. We have already had 30 days over 100, which included 22 in July. It doesn't sounds like it will get any cooler here anytime soon. If we could only get rain, that would help a lot, but none of that either.

Re: 7/25 Tarragon AMPS 284

Glad to hear the new dose is agreeing with Tarragon. Wow, that is really hot for that length of time. I hope soon you get a break and some rain. Are your summers normally that hot? Lots of water is helpful.

Re: 7/25 Tarragon AMPS 284

Hi guys .. love the yellow for tarragon today .. sorry to hear about your heat wave .. we finally broke free of the 90's and hit mid 80's today .. can't believe that feels cool!

Re: 7/25 Tarragon AMPS 284

If only that stupid HIGH would move away from Texas/Oklahoma and find another home. But then I wouldn't want to wish this heat on anyone else.

How's the singulair working for Tarragon? Asthma better?

Re: 7/25 Tarragon AMPS 284

So glad Tarragon likes his dose!!!

We understand about life and we are thinking of you, tooo!!!

Re: 7/25 Tarragon AMPS 284

Glad to hear that Mr. T likes his dose! We got a tiny break from the heat yesterday in KC, but it is back to hot, hot and hot today. Is it October yet???

Re: 7/25 Tarragon PMPS 212

The heat seems to be stalled over TX and OK. Glad others are getting a break! This is very unusual for us. We are normally in the 90s during the day and 70s at night in June & July. Our lows have been in the mid 80s. They have called for voluntary water rationing in Tulsa. A lot of the surrounding towns are on mandatory restrictions. We haven't had any moisture in so long that the lakes are down and covered with algae and Tulsa has been using about 95% of the available water supply each day. At 97% we go to mandatory.

Tena - The singulair seems to be working. No coughs since we started so we are keeping paws crossed. Thank you for asking!

The vet called today about Turnup. It is iris melanoma and is malignant. She is 15, so we have all opted to just watch it and see how fast it spreads. Not a lot they can do other than remove both eyes. Even then, it may have already spread. So, we have decided to just go with it and enjoy her while we can. Any healing thoughts you can send is appreciated.

On another note, I went in today for tests. I have been bruising for no apparent reason and tired and nauseaus a lot lately. They did blood work and took some bone marrow. I have RA and they are hoping that it is from my medicine. We will see.

I am full of good news today huh? When it rains, it pours. Just one of those days. At least T man is doing well and his happy lovey self.

Hope you all have a great evening!

((hugs)) to you all, Melissa. Hang in there.

I'm glad you at least have answers for turnup with a clear path of how to proceed... though so sorry for the answer you got. I think your plan will allow her to have a good quality of life while she can. Give her some scritches from Willie and I, okay?

I'm so sorry to hear all your news. You're being very brave about Turnup and I think your plan is a very good one. No sense putting your 15-year-old sweetie through something that might not be of any benefit. Hard decision to make, though. And I know that a bone marrow biopsy is supposed to hurt like hell so I know you've really minimized what you went through. I hope it is the meds so maybe just a change in them will prove beneficial. I'll keep your entire family, furry and human, in my thoughts and prayers. We're all here for you, Melissa, through good times and bad!! :-D

I'm sorry to hear about Turnup's diagnosis, and that you're not feeling well yourself. Healing thoughts and prayers heading your way !!!

Melissa I'm so sorry about the news. I am sending lots of hugs and healing thoughts for you and Turnup wishing that you have a lot more quality time with her. I don't have advice other than to treasure every single day.

You aren't catching a break. I have a friend with RA and I don't know how I would do it. She manages to work out and raise four kids and is always in pain. Wishing it is just your injection and you won't have to worry. Hugs.

Hi Melissa,
We are thinking positive and healing thoughts for you and hope that a change in medication will help. And we know that you are doing the right thing for Turnup. She should be allowed to simply enjoy her life, and we pray that her QOL will stay good. She is a lucky kitty to have you.
Your heat wave sounds unbelievable. May it break soon!!! How is Tarragon doing with all his long fur? (Rusty feels the heat when it is only 80 degrees!)
Hang in there!
Many :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG: s to you all,

Ella & Rusty

(((Melissa)))

What a lousy day. I'm so sorry about Turnup's news. I hope you have all the time together that you want and that he needs. I also hope that a change in meds will do the trick for you. Sending barrels of vines for you both.

Melissa, you have had a really hard day and I am so sorry to hear about the diagnosis for Turnup. I think you are making the right decision in not putting Turnup through any really tough procedures that may not help in the long run. Quality of life is key. Please give Turnup (and Tarragon) a big hug from me.

I hope the doctors discover that it is just the medicine that is causing you problems and that they can find the right medicine for you. Sending you lots of healing thoughts and prayers tonight.

Hi Melissa. I am sorry about the news on Turnup, but I think your plan of action is a good one, why put her through anything that may not help in the long run. I believe too that the quality of life is what matters. Scritches for turnup from Mannie and me.

I too think that tarragon likes this dose - what nice numbers today,. Go Tarragon!

And I wish you the best if luck for yourself. I hope they can find the cause, and get you back on track. Positive thoughts for all there.

Amazing on the heat. That has to be unbearable. I wish you guys relief. And some rain. I will send some - we have more than we need...

((((Melissa))))
i don't know where to begin....i'm so sorry you are dealing with such news today and such hardships....yeah...when it rains it really pours....i know what you mean...

i will for SURE add you to my list of people i pray for daily and for Turnup and for everything you are facing with....life is full of challenges that we can not comprehend....but know that you have friends here who will hold you close in our prayers.....

sending you hugs and prayers your way

on another note...i don't know how you guys deal with that heat?!?!?!?!.....i have enough of it after 3 days.....i guess being this far north and close to the Rocky Mountains our weather is very unpredictable....it was hot today but will rain tomorrow....i guess we have more breaks from the heat than most people....i won't complain....

Melissa So sorry for the news about Turnup, but you are doing what you feel is right--
Prayers will be said for her and you know the special Lantus Land prayers & healing messages strength!!
When we all send our love, it does somehow work and Turnup will be getting all of our thoughts & prayers as will you!

I also have RA & you could just touch me & I bruise also..My skin is thinner & I get cuts very easily--So
I am going with the meds effects and your problems. Been about 5-6 yrs now & I am much better & am not getting worse(antijinx)..Hope they find the problem soon..
Big Hugs & lub today to you--My prayers are already being said!-For you & Dear Trunup!

((((Melissa)))): What a horrible day for you today. We are sending you lots of peace, comfort, and healing vines for Turnup and for you. We're so very sorry about her diagnosis..I have never heard of a cat with melanoma in the eyes....did she go outside alot?

I'm also sorry to hear about your dx of RA. I know Ann takes some meds that have really changed her QOL for the better....sounds like Roni, too.

Thinking of you and keeping you and Turnup in our prayers.

Hi Melissa, just catching up with your condo this morning. I just caught the Vet update on the subject line. I am so sorry to hear the diagnosis for Turnup. You're doing the right thing considering her age and the treatments she would need to undergo. I'm sending some healing vines and prayers for you both. I'm so sorry for your medical issues with ra, and I'm hoping it is the meds and not anything else too serious, and I hope the tests will diagnose it. The heat and humidity have to be hard on you, too. I also have RA (for 31 years) and take Enbrel and Mtx injections. Sending some healing vines for you. Feel free to pm me any time. Hugs.

I'm sorry to hear about Turnip's diagnosis. I hope you have some really good quality time with her.
I'm also sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I hope it's the meds, and you feel better soon.
Sending vines and hugs to you both. Please give Turnip some extra scritches from us.
