Sorry I didn't post yesterday. I babysat & it was a rough day. I was in a lot of pain so it made everything difficult. By the time my dgs went home I was done for the day. I don't know what happened with Racci yesterday! She was all yellow! I must have screwed up with her shot. I had the little one here driving me nuts and touching everything while I was trying to do it and now I'm wondering if maybe I shot an empty syringe? I just can't figure it out because she started out fine in the amps. That must be what I did! Poor Racci! Then I overslept this morning and still haven't given her liquid meds! What a terrible mom the past few days!

I'm still feeling terrible, like a hot poker is in my hip and achilles pain in the back of both legs & somehow need to get to home depot. ugh! My washer is broken & I need parts so my ds can fix it. Can't live without a washing machine!

TTYL. I have to get my act together and give Racci another test.

Hi Melanie, so sorry you had such a rought day yesterday with pain and then babysitting a little one. It's hard to tell what happened with the syringe, but I know I've shot an empty syringe in the past and with trying to watch the darling little one! Hope you start feeling better. Wow Home Depot, if it's anything like our, parking a madhouse. Can it wait til tomorrow maybe? I know washing machine important though. Racci is looking good today. Thanks for your support with Maggie's poo issues.

Hi Melanie:)

Thanks for visiting us with well wishes for Ella and advice for my computer issues. I think it's a good idea to give it a dusting. With four cats, we sure so accumulate our fair share of dust bunnies :-D

Sorry to hear that you're in pain and that your washer is broken. I hope that you feel better soon :YMHUG: Racci seems to be headed in the right direction today!

Hi Tamara & Ann,

Tamara,
I never realized before a few years ago that the inside of computers needed to be dusted. I was dusting the outside and saw all the dust going inside also and was shocked when I opened it. It was amazing that it ran at all. Between 2 longhaired cats and being on the floor, it collected a lot of dust! You probably have the same with 4 cats.
I sure hope Ella is doing better. It's so sad when they feel bad and can't tell us.
Thankfully Racci is pretty much back to normal. I'm going nuts without my washer! I hope my son can fix it. Thanks for all!

Hi Ann,

Thanks Ann. I've had a really rough time of it lately with my legs & hips. I guess I'll have to get back to the dr. & make sure nothing new is going on. It was hard trying to put on a happy face for the little one but he always makes me more cheerful. I've done that before with Racci, giving her an empty shot, but always caught myself right away and redid it. I really think that's what happened this time though & I was just so distracted by the baby that I didn't realize it! Poor Racci!
I did wind up giving up on Home Depot today. I'll have to try to get there tomorrow instead.
I'm so glad Maggie finally was able to poop. I know she must feel better!

Have to get ready for Racci's meds

Hey, Melanie -

Missed you yesterday. Glad you had fun with DGS, but sorry for the chaos! The good thing is that there's another cycle ahead!! :-D (That's what I keep telling myself, too.)

Sorry about the washer, too. I have lived with a washer and without a dryer and it's soooo much easier if you have a washer!! I recently got a brand new one, my first ever. I had nursed ours for well over a year and the time came there was no more nursing I could do on it. I figured after all these years I deserved a new one! (I'm usually the uber thrifty one of the family.) I hope you get your washer situation squared away soon!

So sorry about your pain. I understand living with pain, although I remind myself I know people who live with lots worse. Honestly, it's hard for me to be pleasant when in pain. But, I have a friend with MS and 2 of her young adult daughters have a form of it, too, and are in wheelchairs now. She is always up-beat and rarely EVER complains. Sure humbles me...

I pray you get relief from your pain and are able to get a restful night's sleep -

Libby (& Hershey, too!)

Hey Girll!! Nice flat blue day for Racci--means nicer numbers are coming tomorrow!!!
Sorry about your pain, How Well I know it!!--I have ripping sciatica right now, & always leg & hip pain, so
I Am With You!!!--Hope you can fix your washer--We just had to buy another & dryer & ac all at once cat(2)_steam ---Not fun--Hope you can fix yours--you are terrific for being able to fix it!!!
Feel better soon--humidity always kills me in summer--Hugs & Love from us!

Hi Libby & Roni,

How sweet of you to say you missed me, Libby. It was definitely chaotic! My dgs about wore out my patience! He knows he's not allowed to touch Racci's meds and diabetic supplies yet every time I took one from him he took another! I was ready to clobber him! Finally he saw 'the look' in my eyes and stopped. He wanted to know what everything did and how it worked and to take it apart. grrrrrr! kids!

This is my 2nd or 3rd new one and it worked great till we moved it. I think the problem is mostly plumbing. I have a terrible leak when I use it. From what I understand it's a valve washer or a valve or a shut-off valve. These are all things one of the guys could do according to the internet. If it's anything more complicated, I'm in trouble. Plumbers are expensive. I'm not sure if the problem is just the faucets & pipes, or both but it's gotten to the point where it can't be nursed anymore.

That must have really hurt buying all those appliances at once Roni! Especially the AC! That really gets expensive when it's a house unit, doesn't it? I haven't had to replace mine yet but I've heard they're really high. I was lucky when I bought this house they had already replaced the original ac unit. I've had to do the washer dryer thing before though! I find that dryers last a lot longer than washers though.

My pain is chronic and I try to ignore it as much as possible and not complain but sometimes it just gets so bad that it's impossible. I have RSD/CRPS in the legs and back, all kinds of spinal problems, ddd, arthritis and I think I may have sciatica also now. The dr. said it was possible but since I had so much going on he couldn't tell for sure. Some days are better and some days are worse. It's always there though. Humidity gets me too and so does cold. I can't handle cold or wind when it's cold. Tonight is a little better tho.

Roni, I hope you're right about tomorrow for Racci. As long as she lets me run to the store and doesn't go too low. Home Depot carries kits for washers that include a ll the small things in them for your model. I hope it has what I need. :)

Have a great night!

Hi Melanie

I'm not sure if we've posted in your condo before, so in case we haven't, Hello! I'm sorry to read you've had a rough go of it of late. Hopefully, Racci will give you a great cycle tomorrow and let you get on with your non-FD-related To-Do-List!

With regard to RSD - my orthopaedic surgeon was conerned at some point that I was developing RSD after my second foot surgery, and recommended acupuncture. I was just wondering whether you've ever explored that as an option for yourself? (I was very lucky in that I did *not* develop RSD, but I did have a problem with chronic pain years back that lasted 3 years, and acupuncture was what sorted it out, despite my scepticism.)

Jane

Hi Jane!

No you haven't but I'm glad you did now. I'm hoping tomorrow is a good surfing day for Racci also. I was just about to give her a last meal so I could sleep without worrying and shut it down when I saw your note.

Acupuncture is probably the one thing I haven't tried. Do they really use it for RSD? I never would have thought of that because of the associated allodynia. I have trouble with clothes even. The thought of needles is scary. Mine came from an accident in 2005. You're very lucky you escaped it.

I could see the possibilities for the other chronic pain if I could get past the allodynia though. I would need to find someone experienced with RSD though and that's not easy. Thanks for the food for thought. I may check into that! It really helped you huh? If I could find someone I trusted it would be worth a try. Thanks!
