Putty's first night on the beach. We all get to bed at 1:30 am. I finally fall asleep at 2:30.....at 2:35.."mew, mew, mew," Putty jumps on the dresser then onto the bed about 5 times, then he leaves the room. I fall back to sleep....3:10..."mew, mew, mew." Putty is sitting in the hallway outside the bedroom looking at me. I toss and turn now because I have been woken up twice....fall back to sleep at 4:20 ....."mew, mew, mew." AT 4:45 I get up to test Putty thinking maybe he is trying to tell me something. I gave him a treat and go back to bed. I fall back to sleep and am woken up again at 4:55 from thunder and lightning which Putty is not too fond of. Finally at 5:45 I get up to test, feed, and shoot.
Well the nice thing is it is a beautiful sunny day at the beach. Putty should sleep all day because I don't think he slept all night. I know last year when we came here he was a little nervous the first night so he was afraid to sleep. Maybe he thinks I am going to leave him. cat_pet_icon

J.D. keeps me up all night when we go on vacation, too. I wake up each morning, exhausted. He sleeps (or rests) all day, and hides under the bed, and at night with me in the room, he is all over me all night long

Enjoy your day, and the beach :-D don't fall asleep in the sun.
 
So Putty hasn't figured out that you brought him along and didn't leave him at home? You brought him to the beach where he has a lot more to look at? Silly Putty!!
 
Oh! Maybe he needs a cat sitter!! He sounds adorably cute "mew mew mew." I just get a paw in the face/mouth/eye/chin.

I s'pose I could come. Sigh. ;-)

Hope you get some rest but don't fall asleep outside!!
 
I bet he was just checking to make sure you were still there in the strange house with him. Im sure he'll be busy sleeping and watching the seagulls today. Have safe fun in the sun Miriam.
 
"Mew mew mew" does sound really cute now, but I bet it's not so cute at 4 in the morning, huh? ;-) Hopefully he will be more relaxed and assured that you aren't going anywhere tonight so you can both get some good sleep. Enjoy the sunny day at the beach!
 
He just needs to get adjusted--How many cats get to go on vacation?? Not mine!!--So Putman, you are one lucky boy--Try to sleep tonite--Have a simply GREAT TIME!!! HUGS~! :-D
 
Awww, ain't that cute....mew mew mew, all night long. :lol: Nice numbers for a boy whose routine is messed up.
Have fun Miriam...don't forget your sunscreen; and some for Putty's ears too, if he goes out. :-D
 
I agree, he was just probably making sure you weren't gonna ditch him in the strange house, I bet he's nice and polite tonight. Of course, the thunder does not help, we had it too.
I will say, for being in a new environment and the travel, he certainly gave the nice amps.

I hope he won't be up all night again tonight though....he is probably just confused....he had to relax on vacation and not worry!
I told Roni & Moonie that we would cancel our plans to go to NY since she has had enough of her visitors at this point in time. The NE get together of the forum won't be held there I guess...wanna go to Germany?
Well, enjoy one vacation at a time! Hope you enjoyed the beach ...the dunes of the Cape. :mrgreen:
