smesx Member Since 2019 Jul 25, 2019 #1 yesterday He was extra squirmy tonight and pulled away suddenly right as i was pushing...I THINK I got most in but it had a pretty strong smell on his fur. I'm so mad at myself right now He had only squirmed like this once before, he's usually so chill. Any tips for a squirmy cat.

AmandaE Member Since 2019 Jul 26, 2019 #2 No tips for a squirmy cat from me but take it from me... we all do fur shots from time to time so don’t sweat it! Tomorrow is another day! He’s going down a little bit so hopefully some went in!

Wendy&Neko Member Since 2012 Moderator Jul 26, 2019 #3 Fur shots happen. Take it as an excuse to get a good night’s sleep. Some people shoot when kitty is distracted with head in the food bowl. I did it as part of post meal cuddle time.

smesx Member Since 2019 Jul 26, 2019 #4 Thank you. I think he did get at least a little, but definitely not all. I've been shooting while he's distracted eating. He's so much more energetic lately thought and fidgety while I position myself. I've also noticed his skin seems for firm, not quite as easy to "tent" up. Caused by more hydration now that he's on canned food?
