Ripley is doing great this morning.
It's back-to-work for me, so she and I have fallen right back into our early morning routine: she shredded some paper to let me know I wasn't preparing her food fast enough, public display of litter box-ing (neg. ketones), slurping her breakfast, and squawking for more treats (because I never ever put enough in her food for her taste).

After work I'm going to take her to the vetty for a quick urinalysis; her numbers are looking good, but they're slowly creeping up despite recent dose increases. I just want to make sure there isn't a UTI lurking...

I hope everyone has a good Tuesday :-D

Morning Josie, I get a kick out of the paper shredding from Ripples to get Mama's attention for faster breffifs service. :lol: Sending good Vetty vines for the urinalysis. Those are still good numbers, but I know you're used to see them slightly lower. Have a good day back to work.

Nice blue start for Josie today. Too funny on the morning routine. They are creatures of habit, even with the paper shredding. :lol: Good luck at the vet. You are on top of it. Have a great day Josie!

Ripley is looking good! I know what you mean about the treats. I've been getting stared down for the last couple of weeks -- they want TREATS!

FWIW, you could always fatten Ripley's dose. You've got the room for a bit more insulin.

I feel horrible.
I put Ripley in her carrier for the vetty visit, and she immediately peed in it ~ lots. She's never done that before ~ she must've been holding it for some time. (Her urine clumps in the LB are pretty big due to her fluid treatment.)
So I brought her to the tub with the water trickling, to help rinse off her feet; she jumped out of the tub and slipped.
She just rested on the bathmat for a few minutes, looking shocked.

I gave her some treats, and she went to her rocker to bathe herself. Poor girl. :sad:

We'll try the urine draw tomorrow afternoon.

As for her dose, I'm going to add a drop tonight.

Poor Ripley. Once she regains her dignity, she'll forgive you. I hope the vetty visit goes better tomorrow. Good luck with the dosecrease.

Aww....poor Ripley. Sounds like she really had to go. This seems to be the day lots of kitties have had accidents, a few here. Maybe just the carrier and knowing she was going to Vetty stressed her. Sending Ripples some feel better, enjoy the rocker vines.

Ripley had some bathing time on her rocker, then slept on my lap for about an hour. Sweet girl. I took some cute close-up pics of her mug. I'll try to post them tomorrow.

She had her dose (increased to fat 0.75u), is eating, and had her fluids.
She seems back to normal now :smile: .

Right before T/F/S, I put her new harness on her; she didn't mind having it on! I let her walk around the house for about 5 minutes, as she followed treats that I placed around. This may be easier than I expected! (anti-jinx)
DOH! I looked up that link for the harness and saw that it's on sale online ~ I paid full price at the store! ohmygod_smile
 
Hi Josie--

I didn't realize there we kitty-only harnesses. Plump-O here fits in the dog harness (lovingly called "harney" :lol: ) but I think I'll get one of these when he tires of his green one.

Poor Ripley :oops: I'm glad she got to settle down in her rocker :YMHUG: Her #'s look great :mrgreen: Good luck with her dosecrease. You'll have to keep us posted on the harness training as I need to get one for Hoot. Where did you get it?? Have a great night Josie.
