Yesterday http://felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=75536 was a couple of icky pink cycles with touches of red and possibly yellow.

I was all set to increase by .5 this morning, when she gave me this AMPS today. So, we forage on with the same dose a while yet. Last nights debate with myself was "if she gives a low yellow, will you still increase?" Low blues answered that question. I wonder where she got to last night. I guess it was a bounce after all. Note to self, Neko can take up to 3 cycles to clear a bounce and it may get worse before it gets better.

Dreary rain today. DH thought it was dark because the curtains weren't open all the way, then opened them and realized it was dark out too. Getting to end of July and I still haven't had to set the sprinkler up to water the lawn.

I booked SRT this morning for August 6th at CSU. So much to plan/book before then. It's about a 24 hour drive and we have to figure out if that is 3 long days or 2 even longer days drive.

OMG CSU!!!! Woohoo Wendy and Neko!! I'm so happy to hear you booked SRT. Did Dr. Timian finally get ahold of you? I seriously hope for yours and Neko's sake that its cooled off down there by then, the whole time we were there everyone kept saying that its been abnormally hot there and its normally in the 80's instead of 100's. Did you book a hotel?

Hi Wendy, just stopping by to say hello to you and Neko. Nice blue for Neko; I bet she heard you talking about more juice. They seem to be psychic. Exciting that you've booked SRT for Neko. ave a nice day.

it's so hard to tell with our kitters whether high numbers are temporary or showing they don't have enough insulin, isn't it? good call. i wonder if she'll bounce from this?

yay for the SRT! it is a long ways to drive! hopefully neko will resign herself to living in a car now once you get going! :lol:

we stayed overnight in Twin Falls, Idaho going and a Motel 6 in Evanston Wyoming on the return. At the Courtyard Marriott while we were there. the Marriott was fabulous - i want to say $90/night with a discount for being connected to CSU. we had a sliding door to an outside grassy area and i took the cats outside on leashes. the others were meh, cheap and you get what you pay for, but at least they allowed pets. if you want info on any of them let me know.

is someone going with you?

Wendy, I'm so very glad you got some answers, although tough ones, and to see how well Neko has been doing. You've both done really well. I went back and read the condo's from when you got the dx and now look at you guys! I haven't had a chance to learn about the SRT, but very excited you guys are going.

Somebody has been using the trampoline a lot today! I had to go out for a bit this morning so tested before I went, then when I was back and then at "nadir". I guess the bounce from last night has started.

@Tracy - yes, it is very exciting! I got an email from Dr. Timian on Friday night. She is on vacation this week so I decided to wait until a week after she is back. I just looked at the 10 day forecast for Ft. Collins and it says high 80s to 90 so maybe a bit cooler. I don't have a hotel yet. I've got the list of hotels from the CSU website and was going to research that next. I also have to figure out where we'll be on the midpoints on the way to and back and look up those hotels.

@Pip - yes blue! then yellow, then blue, then pink. Sigh!

@Ann - she seems to have responded to the threat about more juice but I have no idea where she went last night. At least there is blue and that's where I want her to be most of the time if I can.

@Julie - you were spot on about the bounce! Now I wonder what the PM will be. A Fort Collins hotel with a yard would be nice. It's been a long time since I've had Neko on a harness but at least there would be something for her to look at. DH will be coming with me. No way I could do that long trip solo with Neko.

@Reagan - good to see you back again. And yes there has been a lot happening, but now we have answers. Neko does seem to be showing some nicer numbers now. I'm still learning about SRT and acromegaly. I started reading some of the articles at lunch today but had to stop because I need the internet to look up some medical terms. Deep stuff some of it!

@Sienne - a great start and a very strange rest of day so far. As I read somewhere, an acro cat is ECID and every day is different!

Wow, that was quite the bounce. If only she would tell me how low she went last night! Oh well, damp outside, high kitty, got another indoor ketones test.

Same here Wendy, I used to think whether our trusted kitty went low after we went to sleep. This drove me crazy & thought I should have stayed up to test more :lol: Now, I dont think like that anymore. The past is the past, the next cycle is more important.
