The little bugger has gone and grown himself another pound in the last month: 13.4 pounds! :o I keep on expecting Mikey's growing to slow down or stop already, especially with this "Summertime Decrease" that happened over the past month. :YMSIGH: We're increasing back up again and I'm not sure if the decrease was just a month-long fluke or if it's because his eating habits decreased (yet again) and now this weight gain is contributing to the increase. It's like a circular logic problem. ohmygod_smile

Henry, the other little bugger, is becoming incorrigible with his dry food cravings. I caught him trying to get into a bag of dried pasta the other day. This morning, he was opening my bathroom drawers (yes, he's that talented), trying to get to my oatmeal and goat's milk soap bar! He's been on wet food since I got him at 4 months old so I'm beginning to think that dry food cravings must have a genetic link.

(And does anyone know how to remove the "red eye" for cats?)

Your little question about fixing pet's eyes made me curious so I dug around on Google. The key was figuring out what to CALL the problem - it seems to go by "pet eye" rather than "red eye". If you Google "fixing pet eye in photos" you'll find more than you ever needed to know. One detailed tutorial for how to use photo-editing software to remove it. (The stuff specific to cats is from page 7 to 9). Basically any automatic red-eye tool isn't going to work because cats' eyes aren't built the same as ours so the flash doesn't usually make a red color.

A waaaaaay simpler solution is probably: use natural light, no flash!

Thanks for googling that for me! I'm waaaaaay too lazy, sometimes. ;-) Gonna bookmark that and try it the next time I need to use flash. (In this case, the natural light was worthless. Stupid "energy efficient" light bulbs.... :-x I feel like we've re-entered the dark ages. ohmygod_smile )
