Yesterday was PINK day, with a splattering of yellow... well what I saw of it was a pink day. I went hiking and missed most of his morning cycle. The board was down, he kitty was postal pink and well... the permission slip had been issued. I had hoped he'd head back down, but nope! Up to the pink floor for PMPS. So we start anew again today, and hope for a good cycle, that this bounce is history, and maybe see some blues. :-D Not asking much, am I? :lol: :lol: The Nanner King seems to be nodding in agreement, so paws crossed! Lubs ya big guy - now think blue, think green! cat_pet_icon

All is well in MannieLand. :-D :-D Yesterday was..... DE-MAT the KITTY DAY! :cool: :cool: :shock: :shock: ;-) After I got home from hiking Mannie wanted some alp time. :o :o :o Mannie never wants lap time... so WOO HOO! This bean took advantage and snuggled with the nanner king for a bit. Then temptation got the better of me.... bad me.... and so the exploration for fur mats began.... POOR MANNIE! I found several, like a dozen. I swear they make their own a babies.... :shock: :shock: The odd thing was he let me remove them. WHOA!, and go Mannie! We got all but one. Now I hope beyond hope that when I check him tomorrow that there won't be a dozen more... Paws crossed! Great thing was that I didn't have to check the belly: shaved bellies rule. :lol: :lol: This morning we had a great test, feed, shoot and clean plate club (YAY), AND the auto feeder was USED by Mannie, (YAY, and back at it!) :shock: , and Elsa still thinks it has her name on it, yet again.... so I am back to running interception on the feeder.... Despite all that I will still say: Normalcy in MannieLand. :-D

Have a great day everyone. I am not too sure what will go down here today - I suspect it will windup being a catch-up day. :? Oh woo hoo on that.... maybe some hiking it I can get away. Paws crossed! :-D Then again... I really need to do some stuff ere t home, dater playing yesterday.... ;-)

Hey everybody! WOO HOO on yesterday! I LUBS British Columbia! What a party - the fuds come out good - you guys did such a great job on the kitchen krew. WOW, and after all that we so need a chillaxin' day today. I vote for the beach! and a bonfire and S'mores and grillin and boogie board riding and stuff. You guys in? Let me knwo - I am ready for any ting!!! ~~ Mannie

And completely OT: Here are some photos from my adventure yesterday: Barclay Lake. It was socked in up at the lake: enveloped in clouds. The hike though was great, and in all reality I really enjoyed the lake: very atmospheric, eerie looking, and just downright cool. Beautiful pictures again, Michelle, and again I'm reminded of the Scottish lakes I've hiked around. Lovely.

Wow, Mannie let you sort out the mats? Amazing! Our Henry gets tangled fur on his tummy sometimes, where his hair is incredibly fine and curly to boot, but he's luckily never had a real mat. Hope your day goes well :smile:

Morning Jane - thank on the pics. It was really a great day there. and yupp (!), Mannie did let me comb and work the mats - which is not the norm with him. He usually hates it, fights me on it, and 9/10 of the tine he wins the battles. :lol: He too has some curly belly fur, it seems that is the stuff that wants to make mats, LOL: an go figure....

Hey Michelle,

Sometimes it's nice to get the permission slip to go out as proven by your beautiful photos:) It's really cute that he put up with the de-matting. I guess he really wanted some of that lap time :-D I hope Mannie comes down nice and easy for you today.

Morning Tamara - oh yes, I do enjoy those permission slips. and I usually do head on out somewhere. Such great things to be seen. :-D And yes on the de-matting - I couldn't believe it, as he usually does not care for it at all. ad me too: down nice and slow would be so nice! paws crossed.

Those poor long haired kitties! I really feel for the Manster, its great that he let you comb out his mats, have they ever gotten so bad you had to get Mannie shaved?

Hey Mannie, this is the first time i've gotten my paws on the puter in over a week. Thanks for bringing the KTSS down to Colorado for me and Grayson, i was sooooo happy to get that vetty stank offa me!

I bet Mannie quiet likes the shaved belly with the heat and having less fur to de-mat is fantastic! lol

Hey, Mannie - Sorry about all those fur mats, but I bet you feel better after your mama took care of them. Maybe I'll meet y'all at the beach. I heard my mama say she hoped I'd see green today...I remember last time I got Oreo's food. So, today I saw green and STILL didn't get his food. All that for nothing. Hi Melissa - that he is! It should be action, I just hope it is a good action. The last time he was so flat and yellow he went pink. I think his GPS is broken... And I so agree on the shaved belly - I like the fact that there are no mats! Woo HOO! And his fur is so long next to it that you can't even tell he has been shaved. SCORE! Well, Mannie isn't always cooperative either, which is why I LOVED yesterday - a rarity!!

Hi Tracy - Yep - I think these long haired kitties have a serious design flaw: matts. I was so glad he let me work on them yesterday. And yes - I have shaved his butt and the back of his legs before, as that area was just gross. :shock: As a rule though, no - I try to keep them under control. I have come at him with the scissors though.... :o :o It is nice though I admit to have no belly fur, and therefore NO MATTS! WOO HOO!

Hi Ann, and Maggie - anytime on the ~O) ~O) , it is always brewing in Mannie's condo. :lol: oh yes - very flat, no we wait to see when and if he will make a break for it. :lol: yep - matt babies! For sure... and I ended up working in the yard - no hike, but the yard looks better! :-D

He did it! Way to go Mannie, we were all looking for a repeat performance of the BMG.

Love the hike pictures, especially the fog in the trees. Or is that just low cloud? :lol: We've got a bit of that here too today. I don't mind it, it just means the trails (or ocean) is quieter and less crowded.

Hi Wendy -w ell he did do t! Yay - I had so hoped that it meant a slow slide down, not a trampoline jump to the outer limits. :shock: :lol: Thanks on the pics. I love hiking in weather like that - it's quiet and not alot of people. I suspect that was the clouds. The layer that morning was low, and all the mountains were enveloped. Kinda cool actually. Love fog hikes too. eerie, but nice.

Thanks Michelle for your visit to Rosy's condo yesterday. We were in a terrible hurricane storm last night. It's over now and all is well in Tortieland other than a girl frequanted the LB with small bits of peepee, canbe stressed by all those scary noise of the wind last night. :roll:

HI Ann - sheshhhhh! Guess so! This kitty is so difficult to try and regulate. I don't think that word is in his vocab. :lol: :lol: :lol: on his finding a new Olympic sport.... sheshhhhhh for sure!
