PMPS =182
+2 = 318
+10.75 = 240

AMPS = 309

I think I am going to try feeding a +9 snack overnight. He is starving by morning and wakes the whole house up about an hour before test-feed-shot time. I tried a freeze dried treat after his +10.75 test, but he wasn't happy with just that. :( I'm wondering if the increase in BG from +10.75 till AMPS was stress related due to wanting food. That seems like a big jump for 45 minutes (I start TFS at about +11.5 to have his shot given by +12).

Beautiful numbers yesterday Gizmo! Please come on off the trampoline.

:bighug::bighug:I am sorry you are being woken up in the morning. Osha does the same thing. Almost every day, one hour before t/f/s, she wakes me up. It is probably my least favorite thing about FD. I hope the +9 snack will help.

I bet that +9 snack will do wonders for you. My husband is a night owl, so I have him feed Maggie a snack around +8.5. It keeps her from being frantic before the test. Good luck!

I figure it's worth a shot at least. We shall see. The past two days with lower numbers he has had a snack around +9 in the AM cycle and his PMPS number has been alright. Time shall tell.

+8 = 273

Doesn't look like any blues or green this cycle. Just flat yellow ... maybe an active cycle to follow?

More likely it's the fault of losing duration, because you haven't gotten to a good dose yet.

I gave Neko a +9 snack in the AM cycle, mostly because she had had one at that time all her life and she wasn't going to let a little thing like FD ruin that tradition. :rolleyes: I tried to do zero LC or very low LC. Have you tried boiled chicken breast? Carbs after nadir can shorten duration even more and cause even higher preshot values. On the other hand, with acrocats, it can stimulate the pancreas to work. It's a tradeoff which I tried to handle with the zero carbs.

No, I haven't. I am going to try a few different things to see what works for him. The vet wants him to gain a little weight, so I am going to try his LC food (a very small amount), then a freeze dried treat or the boiled chicken breast. If his numbers seem to rise to much, we will just go back to no +9 snack and he will be an unhappy kitty for awhile (as will everyone he wakes up).

Hadn't stopped by your condo today. Been busy. It is never ending. Lol. I give Gizmo a small LC snack @ +7.5 - +9.5 (he usually eats it right at +7.5 but it is there until autofeeder turns), then on the last turn @ +9.5 he has a couple of FD treats available. With pancreatitis stomach acid is an issue and smaller, more frequent snacks are recommended.

Hmmm, flat yellow - watch out! It is said that could mean a drop is coming in the next couple of cycles! :cool::eek:

Yep ... Gizmo just couldn't be happy with active cycles during the day and bouncing at nights! Although I was very happy with that schedule. I even thought I was beginning to see a pattern ... lol. Gizmo must have heard me and decided to switch it up a bit.

PMPS = 226 ... wonder what is up with the slight drop since +8
He was sleeping at +9, so no snack tonight.

+2 = 307

What is up with these numbers? Getting another test tonight to see if it sheds any light as to what is going on ...
