I was just reminiscing and watching RAJA'S OTJ VIDEO from Dec 5th, 2009! Thinking back to when she stopped getting her daily insulin 11/22 and finishing her second OTJ trial with success!
7 months OTJ! Wow...time flies by, doesn't it? :mrgreen:

Raja plopped herself on the testing towel the other night, knowing what it means and what happens to her brother on the special place. :o I figured that she MUST be feeling poorly or something. She is such a smartypants that she probably knows she is high and she wants me to know it too...NOW what? Back on insulin again...what am I going to DO????
Yes, I fell for it again!
I tested her...going through the routine while she patiently waited. Again, stingy with the blood drop and making me prick her ear twice. Ok, yes, I stopped breathing while the meter ticked off the seconds. I'll admit it! I get nervous when I am not breathing and waiting for bad news...PM+4=78. :lol:

WHEW...giant sigh of relief.

WHY does she DO this to me? :lol: (she never balks at my testing her again either so I always think something is wrong when she almost demands a BG test! She seems so wise, ya know?)

She is doing SO well. Keeping the secret to success to herself and leaving her brother to wallow in his horrid numbers. Just like her to do that! She is a real character and seems very happy. Of course, her numbers were never as bad as Shadow's but still, she put up with the pricks and the shots and followed the plan. Many thanks to you all for your help from the beginning! I shudder to think about what would have happened to us if we hand not found you....beautiful people here....HUGS from us all! :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Pat, it was so nice to see Raja's video. I think I joined the board a week or two later so I never saw the celebration!!!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
 
congratulations on your seven month annifursary! What sweet success you had with her ... maybe one of these days she will share "the secret" with her brother .....
 
Congrats on the 7 months OTJ! I loved the story about her requesting a test. I would have thought the same thing...that she wasn't feeling well and wanted me to test her! Your poor heart during the wait. :) What a trickster!
 
:lol: about her demanding a test! My Max will barely sit still long enough for me to poke him, let alone get enough blood out for a test. He looks at me like, really mom, I'd tell you if there was a problem, so why are you making me do this? :-D

Congratulations on 7 months OTJ! It's been 3 for us, but it feels like longer. Crazy how time flies, huh? :mrgreen:
 
Congrats on 7 mos! Yay, Raja!

Kasha sometimes demands to be tested... Often it's when her numbers start dropping - I think she's showing off or just telling me to quit worrying that her numbers aren't low enuf! But then sometimes, she just does it for the attention, I think!

Congratulations to Raja on her seven month anniversary. I enjoyed the cute video. She must have gone OTJ right before Maggie and I found the message board.

too funny that you fell for her testing trick. When Maui wants treats, she just asks for them, no more looking for a test or anything, just give me my treats! and brush me now.

Congrats on the 7 months! Your baby is doing amazing!

I know, I know - I get paranoid, too, when I see Porky actually drinking water from his bowl nailbite_smile

But, he patiently lets me test him (purring all the while), and his last poke showed him to have a BG of 70! :-D

I am so glad that she is doing so well. I would have the same no breathing as the meter counts down too! But to your surprise it was a great #. She must have been thinking "got you again" :-D

Nice job, Raja! Pat don't feel bad about 2 pricks....I had to test Zoe this week and took me 4 times to get a drop of blood and I wasted a test strip, when she flicked her ear, flinging the blood drop onto the ground! Gotta love it - and her BG was 81!!!

I'm really late for this biggie celebration :lol: but I was away having fun!

7 months!! My eyes bugged out on me @-) Amazing milestone for Raja, so very happy she has come this far.
Many many more happy celebrations for her and her wonderful mom and dad!
