Hello from home!!! Yesterdays travels were LONG, and Grayson was a real champ! He peed on command right before we turned in the rental car at 3 pm, didn't need to go in the airport before our 3.5 hr flight... and as soon as we de-boarded, we hit the bathroom and he again went on command! 7 hours! WOW!!!

Don't have his SS updated since yesterday, so those will be in tomorrow. He's still eating generously, and I'm sure the travel skewed his numbers as well, so I'm hoping by tomorrow we'll be back to normal. He's glad to be home - and so am I!!! He even hung out in the bedroom with me for a while this morning! Since he doesn't have "tickly whiskers" this is an option! Whitey and Herb have to be locked out! ;-)

Had a nice visit with Sue (Linus - PZI) and her son Alec Thursday, and also Marcy (Klinger) & Sue (Oliver-PZI) yesterday before heading to the airport. They were real troopers, as I couldn't leave Grayson in the car, so they sat on the patio for a couple hours with Grayson & me! Probably close to 100 degrees! Since Grayson is an indoor kitty, I don't know that he was sure what to think about sitting outside, but he did well. So fun to get together with others who love their babies as much as I do!

Looks like several of our former PZI friends are having some really good days in L-land!!! Wishing good numbers to everyone.

Welcome back! Glad you had safe journeys and Grayson is doing well. I look forward to seeing how SRT agrees with him.

Welcome back! Grayson is such a good natured kitty; LB on command? That's impressive!
Take plenty of rest Grayson, I'm sure you will miss the yummy all you can eat. Time to work the juice!

Hi Lu!!! And Grayson too!!!

I'm glad to hear you guys made it home safe and sound and Grayson went lb on command, Leo was doing the same thing during our pit stops.

We just made it home about an hour ago and Leo is happy to be home, did a tour of his backyard and laid in the grass and ate some food, life is good.

I am so happy to hear you met up with some other FDMB friends along the way, i'm also happy we went thru SRT together, it really was great having someone else going thru the same thing.

Hi Grayson,
I've had a long time to think during my trip home about what i done to you at the vetty and i'm sorry, i know we spent all that time talking to each other thru our cages, i was kinda out of it that day and when Dr. Timian put me up close to you and Dr. Griffin i just freaked out and slapped you.........i'm very sorry, i'm sure you don't even remember me slapping you, cause you just woke up from your treatment and were all groggy and stuff. My mom says the right thing to do is apologize....sorry

Congrats on the completion of the SRT--It has been very successful for many many kitties here in LL as long as I have been here--Glad you had a good experience & Grayson has been a Trooper!!
Sounds like you are a pretty terrific trooper yourself!! Sending Healing vines for a complete recovery & getting some rest vines for both of you--Hugs & Ni Ni!

Great news that you are home! And you too, Tracy and Leo! What a trip. Paws crossed for good outcomes from the SRT. Leo, you are quite a sweetheart to apologize to Grayson.

Hi Luann
Welcome home, you both must be so happy to be home....there's noplace like home!
Glad the 2 of you did not have to go thru that alone, and I am so jealous
you got to meet so many good people!
I have everything crossed that Grayson does really well from the SRT
Wishing you both a great day with great numbers!

So happy that you and Grayson and Tracy & Leo made it home safely. It was so nice meeting you. Grayson is a handsome and very sweet boy. I sure hope the treatment doesn't take 70 weeks  to kick in.
Looking forward to seeing both boys progress.

Welcome home! I'm sure you both are relieved. Using the LB on command? Impressive! What do you use in an airplane?

This was a trick.... hopefully your terminal has "family bathrooms" - much easier than the floor in front of stalls!

I used a low-sided Fancy Feast box - the corregated cardboard type, that holds 12 cans (very light, and can fold in half for space). Cover it with a plastic garbage bag (I used 13 gal, cuz that's what I buy), then a Ziploc gallon-bag of litter dumped in. Once he used it, I scooped, then just inverted the trash bag, pushed the air out, and put it back into the Ziploc, ready for next time.

I have to say, I really liked having the full-sized box at the hotel and in the car. Grayson may be skinny, but he's still big! The paper towels that I carried, came in handy after 7 hours w/o a box!

I know some folks that drive w/ their cat, put half the back seat down, and LB in the trunk. I think that would work well too!
