Yes, Karamelle gets Ondansetron 2x a day and Buprenorphine 1x per day for the past couple of years. She has Chronic Pancreatitis. Chronic Pancreatitis is a lifelong chronic illness that gets flares of inflammation periodically. Usually no warning and not really anything you can do to stop them, but you can lessen the severity with meds. I run a group on Facebook called Cats With Pancreatitis and you are more than welcome to come check it out. Ive had 13 cats with Pancreatitis since 2014 when the first one was diagnosed. I started the group because I couldnt find any real good info about it online and my vet didnt seem to know much about treating it. A lot of vets will treat it like they do dogs and its much different in cats. Even tho I may seem like a completely idiot when it comes to diabetes, I really do know a lot about Pancreatitis, haha.
To add, Karamelle does get flares, but they are very mild and the only way I know is that she doesnt want as much dry and prefers the wet, which she hardly ever eats normally. She had an ultrasound when she was first diagnosed that showed severe inflammation of the pancreas. I keep her on the meds, because i dont want to go thru what i went thru when she was first diagnosed. it was a nightmare. i syringe fed for a few months because she wouldnt eat her low carb wet. But then I switched to Young Again Mature Zero LID dry and she started eating on her own again. It was such a relief.
