Happy Caturday to all. Tuffy's numbers have been good. She has an occasional 140 and also a 30. So, she has not changed. Still the indomitable Tuffy. She is doing great.
Tuffy has a new friend. Tuffy's best friend was Heidi our Rottie. Well, we now have Lakota (American Indian for friend/companion). She is 10 weeks old, 16.8 lbs. and adorable. She is a very good puppy. Haven't had a puppy for a while so I'm brushing up on puppy training skills. This is her second day with us. She is very bright and also very affectionate. We has had no accidents yet which is amazing. Of course, I take her out frequently. She has adjusted very well to walking on a leash with a harness. She even sits so I can put the harness on her. I am no longer putting puppy pads in the crate when I go out, all she does is tear them up and I don't think ingesting them would be good for her.
Tuffy is such a character. Lakota was licking Tuffy's face the first day and finally Tuffy whacked her as if to say, enough leave the hair. Tuffy will not share her toys but wants Lakota's toys. Also, I put Lakota in the big kennel I use for road trips with Tuffy. Well, Tuffy gets in the kennel when Lakota is out and will not let Lakota in. I forgot to ask her permission to use it. LOL
The others, with the exception of Waif, don't seem to care. They just look and watch. Waif, being a feral, has a healthy respect for dogs and he does not like her at all. I'm hoping that will resolve in a week or two. I've given him so special attention trying to alleviate his fear.
About Lakota: Lakota is half Australian Shepherd, half German shepherd/Wolf. She is 10 weeks old. Born on my birthday. She weighs 16.8 lbs. she has a white blaze that looks like a feather and blue blue eyes. She is very good in the car. Just sits on the seat and looks. I will be calling her Kota for short. She is so sweet.
Sending vines to all that need them and positive thoughts to beans who are still suffering loss of a furbaby.
