Appetite still great. Wondering if last night's vomiting episodes were because I syringed too much water in with baby food and meds. Hopefully doesn't happen again today, I can't keep doing laundry and cleaning carpets :confused:

Whatever illness we have, kids are over it, DH and I got walloped. I went for the regular COVID test yesterday because smell and taste are way off/down, and I guess the rapid test DH got has a 20-40% rate of false negatives. Im hoping it is COVID now because kids got it and are fine, they're the ones we were most worried about. It's either that, or summer flu.

@Wendy&Neko I'm wondering whether to drop the cab to every 3rd day? Thinking of the paper Larry shared. His PM numbers are still on the higher side, but we've had some pretty low AM numbers.
 
Ugh, feel better soon. As if you don't have enough on your plate! But at least the kids are feeling better.

Hopefully you've found an explanation for the vomiting. When Minnie had the feeding tube, one of the things you had to watch for was syringing it in too fast and that was so stressful, looking for clues on that - licking lips, burping..I can't remember it all now but it was all to avoid vomiting. Maybe Mr Kitty prefers his food more solid and less liquid? (that's complete speculation of course). And another lime AMBG?! The limes are so ingrained in me...not long ago I tested Minnie's brother Sam out of curiosity and nearly jumped into action when it was 52. Took me a couple of minutes to remember he doesn't get insulin from me so that was perfectly ok.

Sorry for rambling. Hope Mr Kitty and you all do well the rest of the week. Love the new photo, his face is saying "WHAT is this haircut?"
 
Poor Mr. Kitty. Do they tell you how he behaves for them at the vet? Wasn’t he supposed to go for a chest tap (possibly) this week. But now y’all are sick.
 
40’s are normal BG numbers for a cats not on insulin. We just don’t want cats on insulin there, cause it leaves no room for error. Let’s see if the 40’s are just a one off. Sending tummy feel better vibes for Mr. Kitty. Hope you feel better soon too.

Oh he's always terrible at the vet. Tries to kill everyone, poops all over the place. They know he comes.in needing a crate wash, fresh puppy pad, and a bath. I feel bad for him, but nothing ever works and I don't exactly have time to socialize him to the vets office.

Friday is next chest tap (and Pippis next seroma draining, joy). I'll call ahead and let them know we're all sick but negative for COVID. I'll bring the Lysol wipes, set him outside the car with one so they don't have to have any contact. I'd delay if I could, but it's life threatening.

This is my thought. Im trying to syringe more like 2-3mL which should be tolerable volume for him.
