@Max & Lori , Lori, It is good to see you getting out and going places during those inevitable "bouncing" cycles. It is a High-Rise/Balancing act we do for our sugarbabies! You are doing fantastic, Max will lead the way in this dance, so it isn't always easy. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

It sure hasn’t been easy for me. It’s taken me a long time to ignore those bounces. Then about the time I had learned to do it, the SRT started working and I’ve been having to watch him more again. I’m so happy about that though. He feels so much better. When the reductions come, then he bounces and the numbers stay high for so long it’s hard for me to distinguish between bouncing and failed reduction. He looks so miserable when his numbers are so high. I don’t want toxicity to set in again by holding him to long. I am learning though to just wait it out and make the best of it. I’ve got to get it through my head that I am not going to be able to fix Max. It’s funny that I know that, but still keep trying.

Today was a good day. Max got to chill out in the upstairs bedroom (he loves his own room lol) while I had a tea party with my grand daughters.

Max has a vet appointment tomorrow so paws crossed we get a good report.:cat:

Max is due for a rabies vaccine. His vet only has the one year purevax. I’m almost certain she will give it to him. I already know about over vaccinating and he probably doesn’t even need it but the laws around here require it. They won’t accept a titer. There are no exemptions. I’m so worried about it. Do you think he will be okay?

Do you think your vet would be willing to either get in the 3 year vaccine, or recommend a place you can go to get it? Neko's vet did the latter, though I didn't follow through as it's not required here.

I asked about it the other day to a vet tech, and she said they couldn’t order it because it comes in doses of 25 and it was expensive. I haven’t asked the vet yet. I’ve checked around here and so far haven’t found anyone who has the 3 year PUREVAX. I will ask her when we go tomorrow but I’m really afraid she is going to want to vaccinate him because they are so strict about that in NC. It upsets me so bad.

FD is definitely a challenge for someone who is a "fixer", which most of us are here! Max is so blessed to have you in his corner!

My vet told me the same thing about being unable to get the PUREVAX :( And like you, since it is the law here and I could not find another vet that had it, I had no choice. My Tiger did fine with it, as did my two little ones. I am sending you the strongest good vetty vibes for tomorrow! :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
