AMPS 443, +6 293, PMPS 155, +1 138, +2 136, +3 99, +3.75 85, +4.5 117, +5.5 137

Logan had a great night last night and his rebound number isn't too ugly. Technically, he didn't drop below 80, but I think that's only b/c I gave him a little Karo mixed in with his FF appetizer at +3.75. I didn't want him to drop much more and us have to be up all night! We shot the normal 6.5u this morning, but I'll probably drop him to 6u tonight unless he's still really high. I think the liver inflammation must be down since he's responding so well to his insulin. It's nice to work our way back down some! It's great to see him feeling well. After his +3, we heard the infamous bottle cap being tossed around the kitchen floor. He loves to play bottle cap hockey!

He still has liquipoo from the AB, but that should clear up after we stop the ABs...just one more week! It'll be great to not have the extra two pills a day.

Looks like a pink day for Logan. Maybe he'll find his way back to the blues tonight or tomorrow. Stupid rebound!

Logan is looking good. Nice to see the yellow.

It was nice to see the yellow so quickly after rebound. I had some sad news this afternoon so it made me feel a little better.

My dogs go to doggy daycare every day (spoiled rotten, I know) and several months ago, this paralyzed boxer, Violet, started going to daycare. She was about 8 months old and someone had literally tossed her out on the side of the road...paralyzed! Someone found her and took her to the local boxer rescue. She had surgery to remove the tumor on her spine, but she still couldn't walk so they got her a special cart for her back legs. She's been living with a foster mom on the weekends and the daycare boards her during the week She was the sweetest dog. If Logan hadn't been so sick at the time, I would've taken her in. Today, the manager told me she was getting PTS tonight. Her tumor is back and the neurologist (and the neurologists at NC State Univ) said she won't survive the surgery. She's in a lot of pain and the pain meds aren't helping much. It just broke my heart, esp after so much sadness here in LL lately. At least she had several months in a loving home. She touched a lot of lives. I cried all the way home, it's just so unfair and so sad.
