Good morning!

Well, the little girl finally dipped below 100 last night - hooray! She was at 96 @ +3.5. She dropped pretty quickly from 350-something for her PMPS. Between +3 and +4 has been her nadir, so I'm guessing that was pretty close to the lowest she got. I couldn't stay awake any later to check her again.

228 this morning pre-shot, but that may be because she didn't eat most of what I put down for her last night. I think she just wasn't hungry, because she didn't come yell at me to get her more food like she usually does if she just doesn't like what I put down. I made sure she had lots of chicken in her dish this morning so she gobbled it up before her shot. I can't be home during the day now to check her until about +9.5, but I'll be around for the evening.

Congrats on that green. How exciting!

You might want to think about spreading out Emma's food over the first couple of hours of the cycle rather than giving her one meal at shot time. It may help to slow those fast drops.

Also, a work of caution...With a drop like like you had last night, I would not have gone to sleep. Generally, with a big and fast drop, you want to make sure that numbers aren't still going down. Nadirs can move around. They are not a fixed point so it makes more sense to make sure numbers are headed up than wondering what may have happened.

Sienne's right - nadirs can move around... There have been times that Kasha has maintained some unimpressive numbers during her normal nadir time (between +4 to +5.5) and I do a random spot check later in the cycle only to find that she dropped much lower! Like - huh? How did that happen?

And there have also been times where I monitor thru +5 or so and nothing seems out of the ordinary and I would wake up to a high number, which could have been a bounce from her going lower than I would have expected later in the cycle.

You never know for sure with the numbers unless you're testing and keeping track... maybe I'll quit tbp and invent something that will monitor our cats 24/7, record all the info and email it to us at work - wouldn't that be great?!?!?

Thanks Sienne and Krys! I will do my best to stay awake when I see another drop like that. I've just had so much other stuff going on in addition to all of this that by the time I hit +3 after her PM shot, I'm nearly comatose, and it's all I can do to stay awake. Everything is just sapping the life out of me. Maybe I should try napping when I get home from work in the afternoon, so I can stay awake later, if I can squeeze it in!

And Sienne - I know you asked me about how I feed her the other day, and I answered that yesterday. I do put half her food down together in the AM, but she pretty much picks at it for 5-6 hours. So she's kind of spreading out her meals on her own.

She's gotten a little snotty lately - she wants chicken all the time. Everytime I feed her. She won't eat unless she hears me drop the chicken pieces in her dish, even if it's her all time favorite food and has salmon in it. She's just so cute, isn't she? ;-)

And Krys - let me know when you invent that device...that would make life a lot easier!

Thanks everyone! We're hoping to see some green tonight...her PMPS is lower than than last night. She just had a snack after her test - ate about 1/4 of what I put down. I'll pay attention to how she eats tonight!
