I won't type all of the numbers here, since you can look at Pumbaa's SS, but a few observations (which I am afraid to type because any time I observe patterns with Pumbaa, he changes them *LOL*):

1) We seem to have broken the "Friday Night Dive" trend. You have no clue how happy I am about that! :thumbup

2) Pumbaa's up and downs seem to be evening out, as in less dramatic jumps in numbers from reading to reading. :thumbup

3) Although he spent most of the day yesterday in the blues, he didn't bounce this morning!!!!! And, not only that, he didn't go up at his +3 this morning, like I kinda thought he might (like on PM of 7/18). :thumbup

4) I'm so used to Pumbaa's diving, I'm still trying to get 18 hours of tests in. The broken up/lack of sleep is still killing me, but I'll do what I have to do to keep the little guy safe! I didn't trust that he wasn't going to dive after his nice, rising +4 last night, so I did stay up to get a +6.

5) After breakfast this morning, Pumbaa hid under my bed and it took me a while to coax him out for his +3 (the can opener trick didn't work and I had to get out the big guns...as in go in the bedroom and rattle then open the package of Stella & Chewy's). That always worries me, as cats normally hide for a reason. I don't know what the reason was, because now he's out and about tormenting the Border Collie, and watching birdies out the windows.

6) Pumbaa's nadirs have been erratic the last couple of days, but hopefully those, too, will settle down again.

Hope you all have great Sundays!

Great news, Suze! Maybe Pumbaa and Max got on the board together while we weren't looking and decided to stop tormenting their mommies!

Dale,

While that would be nice, it would be more like Pumbaa to get online and spread the word about what a fun game it is to make the humans chase them around the house for half an hour at testing time. *LOL*

But I sure am glad that they both decided to calm down with their bounces a dives a bit! Max has had some beautiful numbers that last two days!!!!!!

Thanks your visit Suze! What r you doing at his time of the day? Crazy girl, you got to sleep!

To answer you here. Rosy is indoor only. Her mom is a control freak & cannot risk the chance of anything happening to the gang. Since March Rosy is fed only on Wellness Core, Ziwipeak & the Australian made Wiskas chicken loaf. There is no more free feeding, but fed scheduled meals everyday. So far, Ive shielded Rosy away after she finished her food & quickly rush to help with the CPC. But boy, she's quick!
The rest is still enjoying their hearty yummy canned, anything they fancy. So, I dont think Rosy's bg was raised by the carb from food.
Yes, Ive got to admit she's diver as well as a bouncer! And a cameleon, she changes her pattern so fast  Whether she's a donkey or a monkey, her mumbeans just follow the bible & act accordingly. No question ask. That's how I deal with this sugar kitty.

Pumbaa got on my computer yesterday and read what I had typed, then decided to be contrary. He dropped from 246 at +3 last night to 129 at +6. Then this morning, I woke up to a huge, ugly, black turd of 532 for his AMPS. Did he drop again after the +7 reading last night? Or was the 129 enough to cause that huge bounce?

In any case, so much for liking his much more even numbers. *sigh*

Helen, you're correct about the "crazy" *LOL*, and you know people with FD cats who dive don't get to sleep. :(

Glad to hear that you don't think Rosy's numbers are caused by being carb sensitive, or her getting into higher carbed food. (((HUGS))) That would have been easier to deal with than just having her be a bouncer and diver all on her own, like Pumbaa is.

I liked your description of Rosy being a chameleon! *LOL* That fits Pumbaa to a T as well! Unfortunately! Never a dull moment, right?

Hey Suze!
Not sure where to post this observation since it is a new day.
I noticed a 500 BG for Pumbaa this a.m. Any chance you took a second blood sample to make sure that was accurate?

Glad to see he had a nice run of numbers. Don't forget, if you decide to increase in the future you can do it by drops instead of the full .25u.

Carolyn, I didn't repeat the test. In hindsight, I should have. :( At the same time, he had a similar AMPS high and drop at +3 on 6/24 and a few other times, but I was so hoping that his huge bouncing days were over.

I have the "increase by drops" in the back of my head, but at this point, I just wanted to get Pumbaa up to better numbers quicker. Thank you for reminding me, though. If I start seeing more regular low blues and some greens, then I'll start nudging up in smaller increments.

And thank you, yes, it was so nice to see such a long run of blues from the little guy!
