ok so I found someone wonderful to give shakes his shots when I cant get home
so tonight was her first night and she said it went well but when I got home I could
see it in his eyes that she missed
his preshot was 298 and his +3 is now 336

should I give him a little boost to help thru the night or wait it out
He just started drinking water an I cann see it in his eyes

WHAT SHOULD I DO???

I know it is hard, Denise, but you need to sit it out. You just can't tell how much went in and there is such a potential for an overdose. You can test around +8 and if he is high, shoot early if that won't completely mess up your schedule tomorrow. But if he got some, and you add more on top, it makes it dangerous this early in the cycle.

THanks Sue, had a feeling you were going to say that but this is his second trip to the water
in about 15 minutes!! ugg it will be a long night
THanks!

I know it's hard but you just can't give more insulin since you don't know how much already got in.

Besides +3 is still early and alot of kitties have been getting higher +3's because of food spike.

Hang in there, it could turn out ok. Check again at +6 to see.

Yeah, it is tough, but I would wait it out unless there is any kind of emergency. I have shot partial mid-cycle doses before and I can tell you it's not worth the stress! You won't shoot enough to be effective b/c you don't know what might have gone in, and then when you get to your next shot it is a confusing mess if they might have a partial dose in them still, etc.

I would do what Sue said - if it works for your schedule that you can test and shoot again at +8 or later go with that. You are already almost 1/2 way through the cycle, so it will be ok!!!
