Last night, Sammy dropped from 127 to 60 in two hours and I really thought it was going to be a long night, so I went to bed at +2.5 to get a bit of sleep before the low. DH tested him at +3.5 and he was at 58, so not too bad. I had my alarm set to test at +5.5, but when the alarm went off I turned it off and accidentally fell immediately back to sleep. Then I woke up at +6.5 and almost freaked because I missed the test at +5.5, luckily he was in the 70's, so he was fine.

Today is a short day at the office, but I probably still won't be home until around +10. I will leave plenty of snacks out for Sammy and I have already given Crystal a big breakfast so hopefully she won't go around stealing Sammy's snacks. Typically Crystal will eat all her food at once and then not worry about food until the next meal time. Sammy has always been a grazer so it is really helpful with the diabetes, especially since he doesn't tend to like the auto feeders so much.

Have a great day everyone. Sending vines to all who need them and especially all the sugar kitties.

I am not sure what is up with Sammy's number this evening. I am hoping it is just one of those days where his body doesn't process the insulin hormone. Hopefully we will see this number come down a bit by PMPS and drop even further this evening.

Big drop by +2 so I might be in for a long night. I will probably go to bed very shortly and have DH test at +3.5-+4 and give him a number to wake me up if he is lower than, probably 60. I will set my alarm for +6, but will adjust if he is lower than I expect at +3.5-+4.

I did not give him 8% at PMPS, and I will wait to see if he is sliding further down before I pull out the 8%.

I am hoping that the 45 tonight is Sammy's way of telling me he is hellbent on getting off insulin again. I will be up for awhile monitoring just to make sure he is comfortable above 50 and stable. He was very happy to have that high carb gravy as well. Crystal even got to have some because Sammy turned his nose up at the gravy lovers that I gave him. He prefers the Science Diet, that doesn't have as much gravy and larger chunks of meat.
