IT'S MONDAY!!!!!!! Lots to do...

Today is my daughter's 26th birthday...where HAS the time gone??? Guess Hershey is celebrating with her childhood favorite color - YELLOW

Hey, Lu - Good to see you! Hoping to get a chance to check on Grayson and our other friends after lunch. Sounds like y'all are having a great day; YAY!!!

Thanks for the birthday wishes for Ginnie. Bless her heart, the baby isn't letting her sleep much and she's ready to deliver. I keep telling her that he's not due until Sept 26 and no matter how uncomfortable she is, it's not going to hurry him along. ;-)

Well, guess I should go monitor the troops. Hershey is watching Oreo eat...kind of like the kid with the alfalfa sprouts watching the kid who has the chocolate Snack Pak pudding. ;-)

That's a nice, easy drop for Hershey. :) Hoping for a nice surf in the blues for you both today!

That's a pretty big drop between +4 and +6, so be on the lookout for a possible bounce. Sometimes it's the size of the drop in a short time rather than the actual numbers.

***Thanks, everybody, for the birthday wishes and well wishes for Hershey! Seems he was surfing nicely until sometime after +9.5...maybe the bounce Anne & Zener said might come? Was hoping not, but hoping doesn't make it so...

He was eating well today until shot time. Now, almost an hour later and there is still some food in his bowl. Of course, it did get hot and humid again today, so I'm thinking that might be part of it.

Looking Good Mr Hershey!! Happy to see that nice drop today! Not to worry about bounces, they happen & are over within 72 hours at the most--Moonie is in one now.. No worries, He is doing fantastic!
You are doing a great job----I never feel old until I see the kids! Enjoy your daughter's birthday!

Thanks for the encouragement. I wish I could whisper the magic words into Hershey's ear or something to let him know the lower numbers are his friend. But, we have no way of knowing how long he was diabetic before diagnosis, so no telling how long he was used to those higher numbers. :YMSIGH:

Looks like all of us that shifted to Lev have had a really good day today! Grayson continues to amaze me w/ pretty yellows and even some blues. I'll never experience a green (or so it seems!), but for now, to stay away from the reds & blacks... I'm good w/ that! And low pink or even yellow preshots.... I'm okay there too! Grayson has left the IHOP!!! :lol:

YAY for Grayson leaving IHOP!! And, YAY!! for pretty yellow and blue!!! Yeah, Hershey's red yesterday kind of hurt my feelings :sad:

Welllll....he tried to inch down there towards green!!! Almost there!!!

Yes, Marje, it is amazing how the kids age and we don't. When people complain about turning 40, my mom always says she'll let them know how it is when she gets there. I said, 'Mama, I'm the baby and I'm 47.' She said, 'Y'all are adopted.' ;-)

Thanks for the healing wishes for Doug. Bless his heart - that sling is about to get the best of him. He said his elbow hurts worse than the shoulder and is so stiff from keeping it immobilized all day that it takes him a while to straighten it once he gets home. I told him to contact PT today and ask about a different sling or keeping it off some during the day. He called and they said it was up to the doc. Called the doc and received an email stating MUST WEAR SLING. :YMSIGH: Maybe I'm confused, but it doesn't seem like the elbow should be his biggest source of pain...

+6 (182) - Put his food down and he completely snubbed it. (First time EVER!) Followed me back to living room and is sitting on the floor like he's waiting for another food choice or something...Think I'll try to redirect him and then head to bed figuring he'll eat when he gets hungry.

Guess he realized he's not at Burger King and can't necessarily have it his way - ate a few bites and went and stretched out. Not sure why he's not eating as well lately. Only change is temperature, that I'm aware of, and it's not uncomfortable in the house...Or, maybe better numbers means less appetite? Had been trying to get him to gain weight, sure don't want him to lose because of change in appy...
