And for all my mocha fans: a Venti quad dutch apple infused white mocha, with caramel whip, garnished with caramelized apple clusters, white chocolate shavings and a caramel drizzle...... SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of apple and vanilla and chocolate and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, sprinkled with crystallized apple nits and a chocolate caramel drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts are along for the ride!
I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. Nicholas and I sure did. The weather was great, the sun was out, the temps were nice but not hot, and the waterfalls and creeks awaited us. He was one happy little boy. There was a small fish hatchery to visit, and the trails proved to have LOTS of berries! This is what I wrote in last night's post: "Hi everyone! I finally have a moment to settle in and update this condo... what a day! Nicholas and I went to Bellingham, up to Whatcom Falls. It is a place we have been to before, one he really enjoys. He asked for a waterfall, so that one it was. I like it there, he can get down to the creeks edge, and be right up by the falls. The upper falls has a stone outcropping that he can walk out on, onto the edge of the falls, step in them if he wants. He just loves that part. Creek was low enough that he could get out some in that too. Berries were very plentiful there, he picked his belly's full - all kinds: thimbleberries, huckleberries, wild raspberries, and blackberries. He knows which are which too, found more than I did. We also went to the fish hatchery that is located by the park, a stone's throw away, but half the tanks were empty, cleaning I am assuming. There were three full ones that had rainbow trouts of all sizes. That was fun too - kid loves the fish. We even saw two 2 inch long ones in the creek. We walked maybe 50 yards past the hatchery, hadn't done that before, and stumbled upon a pond there, with it's own spillway into the creek. Super cool find for him. It was a super fun day for him, one happy and tired kid on the way home. We lucked out too: clouds were gone by the time we got there, we had sunny skies, about 70/75. A gorgeous day "on the river"." While in route I took several photos of Nicholas in the back seat. His facial expressions and endless chatter crack me up. He is always so excited to be going somewhere ,and talks about anything he can remember about the place we are going. I love those car rides!: Nicholas: The Many Faces of Travel
Photos from the falls also include a few of the fish hatchery: Whatcom Falls. There are also about three videos in this lot of pics.
The welcome home committee was there today for sure too, TWICE! Once when I brought Nicholas back to the house, and again when I returned home for the day. SWEET!
Bug wanted his dinner - both times! He was very vocal about it, and wouldn't shut up. Hard to say no... you are too early Mr Hoover.... Elsa just wanted outside, and could have cared less abut what Bug was hollering about. Lola on the other hand was so excited to have me home that she climbed the palm plant that is in the entry way - all 10 feet of it. omg, that thing was swaying back and forth. I was just glad she didn't snap the stalks, as they really aren't that sturdy.... Nicholas's comment: "That LOLA, She climbs EVERYTHING!" yes, that she does...   Here's some photos that I took yesterday morning of Nicholas and Lola, hard a work with the water faucet: Nicholas and Lola: Water Faucets RULE!
Have a great day everyone. Today Nicholas and I are off to Snoqualmie and the RR station there to partake in the "A DAY with Thomas". We are off to visit the trains, Thomas, and have ourselves a ride on Thomas as well. it should be a fun day. I am so looking forward to it. I will try and get to condos when I can.
KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN!!
