So my understanding, rereading the instructions in the sticky posts, that I can increase 0.25 if the numbers have been over 200 for 6 cycles. This is the 6th cycle. Not sure shes still bouncing at this point. She did drop into yellow early this morning when I got a notion to get up and test. But shes back up to pink at AMPS. Im about to do a +4 in a few mins.
So.. unless something happens I guess I'll increase tonight. Last time I increased it took a whole cycle and then some for her to start coming down so that means if it starts coming down, its more likely to be tomorrow, not during the night. But I'll spot check anyway, just in case.

I think the issue is with 1.25u, which is probably a good dose for her, she nadirs late which means when she clears a bounce during the PM cycle, you are sleeping and can’t ease it down so she drops by AMPS. That’s difficult for anyone to deal with that.

That’s why I still think she would do better on Lantus again or ProZinc so you can have her close to nadir when you go to bed and there won’t be quite so many morning surprises.

I know you didn’t like Lantus for her before but that was a long time ago and things change, you learn more, etc.

I will will no doubt have to change the insulin at some point. Not ready yet. The last time she did clear in really late eve/early am. But thats when I changed the dose at AMPS. I figured if I change it at PMPS then shed be clearing during the day, when Im awake and can monitor her better. So we'll see. But looking back she did clear in the same cycle, so its a crap shoot I guess with her. Since I have a pretty good idea when she might start clearing, then i can test then. Thats why Ive been doing the tests in the middle of the night, to see when she might be dipping lower. Last night for example she dropped to yellow at +6. Could have been before that, since she was up a tad at +9. Im getting more used to doing the tests on the overnight cycle than I used to be. Just playing it by ear.
Ive just got to catch it and feed her if she starts dropping. And I know I cant feed her after 2 hours before her AMPS/PMPS test right? So Ive been doing those +9's so if she looks to be headed down I can give her some HC if needed to bring it up high enough so if it drops some more between say +10 and +12, it wont fall too low. Am I understanding this right?

That’s not how it works. That was coincidence but correlation does not always equal causation.

You can feed her up to +10 but if she’s in the 40s or below, you can feed her LC +10 to +12 especially since Lev cats onset +3 to +4.

Ok, well I'll find out soon enough. Then I do. +10 test. Trying to catch it before it drops to 40.
