Hi all -

As Tracy already indicated, we picked up our boys around lunchtime and brought them "home". Grayson was ready to eat, but also ready to sleep off the anesthesia a little while longer! Tomorrow is our R&R day - rest & relaxation - as if a sleepy cat can relax any more! But no crate time - I promised!

Had lunch today with Sue, Linus' mom from PZI. Linus stayed home, as she thought it might be TOO tempting for our guys to be across the street from an IHOP and not partake!

It was nice comparing notes about our boys, and she & her son Alec got to meet Grayson. He's gotten much more acclimated to sticking around when others are around him, as he didn't hide when they came by. Perhaps it was the fact he had his face in a food bowl, that he wasn't being a scaredy cat!

Looking forward to getting back to a regular schedule with regular doses and numbers. Last time he had 8 units at AMPS, he saw blue overnight... hoping for the same tonight!

As Tracy said, we're gonna have dinner w/ Dr. Timian tonight. I have to say, between her, Dr. Lynn Griffin, Chelsea and Tiffany, we had the best of the best! It was great to work with all of them! Clearly, they love what they do, and it shows in the way they worked with our boys and with us!

I'm gonna take advantage of some "down time" now, and get a little nap... if we're gonna have blues, I might need to be well rested, so I can see them!!! ;-)

All sounds good Lu. Glad you have some chill time. Sending you guys all the best! :YMHUG:

I'm glad to hear his treatment is over and he made it through like the real trooper he is.

Enjoy dinner tonight and have a safe trip home when you start out. Time to get better, Grayson!

What a great report! I'm glad you got to see some more FDMB folks and that Grayson still has a healthy appetite  . Paws crossed for a lot more blues (and soon greens) in your future!

Thanks all -

Dinner was wonderful. There's always a few staples I like to have at a new place to demonstrate how good their food it. We had dinner at a nice little place just down the street - in fact, I had stopped there the other day to take some pictures of the copper (artsy) whirligigs on the property! I ordered bruschetta - one of my favorite Italian appetizers. It was prepared WONDERFULLY!!! They passed the test! I'll enjoy the rest of my dinner tomorrow at lunch... so the food was great.

Learned more about Tracy and how Leo came to be her kitty, and got to get to know Dr. Jessica Timian better. It's WONDERFUL to meet someone so caring about animals in general, and your pet specifically. :-D And while we were there, Gail, who was the "go between" to keep us updated when the students & docs were busy, stopped by our table to speak with us! Again, more confirmation that the decision to come here was the right one, both from the quality of the care, to the quality of the care-givers!

Grayson is back to his full dose, and has already seen about a 30 point drop by his +3 test. Looking forward to some more quality time with my boy tomorrow!

i am so jealous that you got to have dinner with jessica! glad you liked the team - i loved them too. talk about pros that you can trust!

grayson's looking great! enjoy your day off tomorrow - it'll be good to get back to some kind of normalcy in your life again.

safe travels home!

It sounds like you had a really successful and mostly enjoyable trip. I hope Grayson continues to show more and more improvement.
