7/19 Chloe - AMPS 105 | PMPS 107 - Failed vet visit; try again tomorrow

Alas, today's vet visit was a failed one.

It was very doggy in the waiting room and in the back this morning. I could hear her wailing when they took her back and the doc said she was "spicy." They couldn't get any samples from her to test anything. So we'll try again tomorrow afternoon when things should be quieter. If that doesn't work, then she suggested we try gabapentin for a follow up visit. I feel like I've seen that med mentioned several times on this forum, so I assume it would be safe for her.

I made today's appointment online for first available, but the doc let me know when their quiet times are so I can be more prepared next time. She's not usually like this, but also the last couple of times she was at the vet, she was still super hyperglycemic so probably much more docile.
 
This is the first time she's done that with this vet, so it was unusual for us all. The vet said she'd prep the room with Feliway and check us in in the room rather than the waiting area. Quite possibly take the samples in the room with us too. So I'm hopeful we can get what we need tomorrow.

Of course she's spent most of the day in her usual spots (bed, couch) rather than under furniture. Watch she'll sit on my lap tonight, too :rolleyes:
