I do believe we are in the midst of a bounce!! ohmygod_smile As long as it doesn't last and doesn't go too high, I'm all right with it. I think Champ did it on purpose so he could have a poke-free day and that is exactly what I'm going to give him. He can sleep the afternoon away for the first time in a long time!!

I've made an appointment with our vet for Friday morning. As you can see in the picture below, there's muscle wasting at the "ankle" of Champ's right leg (pictured on the left). I don't know if it's from neuropathy or something more serious. I want it to be from neuropathy because that's reversible when the neuropathy gets under control. He's been on the methyl B12 (Xobaline) for a month now and the facial twitching has stopped. The wobbly front legs continue, though, and now there's very noticeable muscle wasting. We'll see what the vet has to say on Friday. Everyone send up little prayers that it's not too serious.

I hope everyone has a great day. I think the DD and I are going to head out and get the lunch special at our favorite sushi place!! Thank you, Champ, for making it possible!! :-D

Hope the vet is able to help on Friday. Yay for going out to lunch -- there's good to be had from a bounce yet. :)

Lunch was delish!! Came home to a very hungry Champers. He had knocked his water bowl around trying to find some food so I had a small lake to clean up. Oh well, that's one way to get the kitchen floor cleaned!! :lol: Champ knocked back some fishy FF in record time!! I usually give him a snack around this time without it influencing his PS numbers, but his numbers are already high so it really doesn't matter!!

Champ had to have known you were having sushi withdrawals, or he was hoping you would bring something home for him :-D .. I'm happy you got a chance to get out today and not worry too much about your boy..
I'll be sending prayers and good thoughts that it's nothing that can't be fixed..

I used up my very first Lantus pen this morning and started a new one tonight. It kind of makes it seem like I've been doing this a while when I actually use up the insulin. :lol: :lol: I was sitting here wondering how I used up an entire pen (300 doses) when Champ's never been on more than 3.75u. Then I remembed that I have to count that as 3.75u twice a day...duhhh!!! And I always draw up a little more than I need so it all makes sense now. Geez, I feel a little stupid right about now. :lol: :lol: :lol:

oh too funny on the doses... I've done that too... always times 2. It is nice though when you actually go through a pen, and don't have to through anything out... It was one of the things I hated about the vial - I always ended up throwing half of it away. :roll:

Good luck with the vet - I wish I had a solution for you... but just no clue. I hope it is nothing serious.

Good job Champ on giving your bean the afternoon off - good boy! It sounds like lunch was good - It is nice to be able to do that once in a while with family, I went with my son to breffis the other morning - what fun it was.

I do believe the bounce has broken...big time. Broken bounce + new insulin = green lagoon time!!! Here we come!!

Wow on the +2; I think he's trying to keep up with someone....that's about the same rate that Gracie tanked this morning. WHAS UP???

I can see the muscle wasting in the pic....I think it is a good idea to get it checked out.

Glad you and Danielle enjoyed your lunch. Champ is going to make you pay :lol: :lol: DOn't want to make you jealous but it's POURING down rain here, t-storms, and about 75 degrees :-D
 
Marje!!!! No FAIR !!! I want some rain sooo badly. We are PARCHED!! I love a good thunderstorm....just the smell and the noise. I'm talking with my brother-in-law about screening in the part of my patio that leads off the french doors from the living room. The walls of the house close in both sides so there would only be one side to screen in. I would love it and I know Champ would love it. And then, if it would just RAIN, I could sit out there and enjoy it!!!! I want your catio!!
 
Look at Champ go!!!! He's surpassed Gracie by far!!! YOu're lucky to have Danielle there!!!

You must get the catio....you will LOVE LOVE LOVE it. It's probably my favorite room.
