Hi Lantus Land!

Tigger got his does increase after all when I saw his AMPS - knew even if Spankey was down we had to move forward for Tigger.

So far it looked like he had a gentle blue day, with no huge bounce into the red zone, for which I'm very grateful.

Got a fresh catch on Tigger's urine at midnight - no ketones & all else normal except 4+ glucose as usual.

Spankey still hurting & totally konked on Buprenex & Cerenia. May possibly be pancreatitis caused by or on top of this mysterious mouth swelling that may be a spider/wasp/tarantula hawk sting/bite. Most of my energy was spent unsuccessfully trying to get him to eat today. Only 1-2T all day. Vet wants him to start prednisolone Saturday, but am a little worries as his blood brother Tigger got DM from just 1 shot of steroid depo-medrol. Vet says oral pills are much safer. Spankey's glucose was 153 this afternoon (1 hr. after eating 1T of LC food), was 95 Monday.

Am feeling very overwhelmed - but grateful Tigger's had a good cycle & hopeful that will continue.

Have a good evening, ALL!

Good luck w/ the increase, Tess got a boost up today too. For Emma we got prednisolone in an oral liquid, it may be easier to give than the pills. For a bite the pred shouldn't need to be given very long. Sending soothing, healing vines for Spankey.

Thanks, Ann! I saw Tess's SS - looks like she had a much better day with the increase - & no bounce yet - yea, Tess! Hope she keeps plugging along with that nice ride.

All I got were the pills. They had flavored chews, but, well you know: CARBS! iT'S for the possible pancreatitis mostly, I think (bloodwork put him in the 'grey zone' for pancreatitis, but it would help the bite, too. Spankey was on Onsior (NSAID) for 3 days & it ended last night. Don't know if a bite/sting could cause pancreatitis -
Good news is no FIV, no FLV, no Hemobart, No anemia. But - no one knows WHAT it is, either

Thanks for the healing vibes - we'll take them!!!!!
