7/18 Tigger AMPS 320 PMPS 415 +2=374

I'm going to try and take away 1 can of FF before bedtime and replace it with more of a snack of chicken.
I think his PMPS is high because I get home an hour before his PMPS and he's starved and going crazy so I feed him, want to see what it is without a can at 3:30pm.
Wonder if a couple chicken chunks would hold him off for an hour, we'll see tonight.

Hey Melissa, how is the RA doing today? That is one thing they are also checking down at Mayo. Do you have meds to control that?
There aren't many in my circle that understand the fatigue and how it affects my socializing. Its brutal and depressing at times.
Feel like a big ole jerk at times, I need to get this fixed. Thus the 40 year old single guy situation. lol
And no offense to all the ladies on this board, but being run down and trying to date does not work! For some reason gals don't like guys that don't want to do anything and don't want to talk for hours on the phone. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Anyways, not really what this board is about, back to Tigger. :lol:
I dropped some egg for a salad last night and before I could bend over to pick it off the floor, hoover was sucking it up like my sisters wiener dogs! Never seen a cat act like that. :lol: :lol:

I am going to try to remember to video tape as I walk in the door tonight. When I open the garage door he hears it and I can hear him meow from inside my car in the garage.
It continues nonstop til his fix of FF is sitting in bowl. lol

Tigger, you're not supposed to eat for 2 hours before shot time, so your daddy can get a non food affected PMPS.
I hope the chicken chunks work for ya. :-D

Is a good idea to get a no-food BG. Just explain it in a clear, concise, logical manner. I'm sure he'll understand.. haha_smiley

I'm thinking Tigger is German or French or something, cause he sure doesn't understand English!

Good morning! :lol: :lol: :lol: on the greeting at home. I have the same problem. Both Tarragon and Turnup greet me at the door and follow me around for the next hour. They get really mad when I feed Charlie, our lab, and they still have empty bowls. They get over it pretty quick though once the FF is presented to them.

The RA is actually really good now. It took a couple of years to find the right combination of meds. I am on Humira and methotrexate, so no immune system but oh well. The fatigue was the worst part of all of it. I understand about your friends. It's one of those "You don't look sick" diseases. My rheumatologist talks a lot about depression and watching for the signs when I have a flare and the fatigue and joint pain are at its worst. I wondered about that when you described your symptoms. It hit me out of no where at 35. Definitely sounds like an immune disorder of some kind. The good news is that there are really great meds out there these days and it is totally treatable. Mayo will figure it out if anyone will.

Well, I purposely did not feed him the first 45 minutes after i got home and he got so worked up.
I finally took his number and it was 415 on the first one and 482 on the second test.
What the heck

He's really bad today, can they get edgy and get themselves worked up and then get more crabby when the numbers get high?

Aww...poor Tigger. It's so hard to make them understand why they have to wait for their fuds. I'm sure the high numbers make him feel icky, and therefore crabby. Since you're already shooting so early, I assume you can't shift back a little further, so you can feed and shoot when you get home, can you? I hope Tigger is feeling happier now...

Not sure how to shift back, if I wait til 5:30am when i leave, then I have to wait for 5:30pm for the PMPS which i'd probably lose blood if I waited that long without feeding him!
lol

I will try harder to not feed him when I first get home, and maybe test him at 3:45pm-4pm and dose at 4:30pm or something.
