Hello LL!!!

Long time no visit. I've missed everyone, I am still at work and due to go home tomorrow. I really really miss my lil orange man. I talked to DGp at lunch and all was well with Leo, he earned another reduction today and was busy snoozing when I phoned. It's been extremely hot all over lately, but that's not stopping Leo from mousing. So far he's averaged a mouse a day! Crazy kitty.

Anyway back to work. Talk to you all soon.

Naaa no mouse presents for me....apparently they are too tasty for anyone else, he gobbles them up in i swear to god 3 bites, it's pretty disgusting actually.

Plus my dad for some crazy strange reason loves taking care of the diabetic Leo, its a kinship between them i suppose since they are both diabetic. We had a family BBQ a few weeks back and he was all proud and boasting about how well Leo was doing and talking about how much he liked taking care of him. My dad has some very serious lower back issues with his nerves and vertebrates and is in severe pain almost 100% of the time, he's had several surgeries that i can remember, but still suffers alot of pain, so taking care of Leo takes his mind off his pain......the both of them are actually very good for each other. Every week when i come home i feel a wee bit guilty for taking Leo away from him, but he's my kitty too!!!

So i asked the kitty grandparents to bring Leo in to the city tomorrow and i thought i would take the grandparents out for a nice meal to show them how much i appreciate their help.

Awww, it's so cool that grandpa enjoys taking care of Leo! Maybe he'll want to adopt a sugar cat? You never know!

I was thinking more along the lines of my dad opening up a kitty diabetes camp?!?!?! A place you can bring your diabetic cat so they can earn reductions, go mousing and get some exercise??

Hi Tracy, that is so sweet of your Dad to take care of Leo while you're at work and the kinship between them. Congrats on the dose reduction! Yes, for the diabetes camp! :-D

Hello Tracy!!! I have missed you! That is so sweet about your dad. I bet Leo gives him a lot of comfort and pride. I volunteer at a place here that places animals with people who have chronic pain. It is amazing how theraputic dogs and cats are. They definitely form a bond and offer a diversion. Taking them out to dinner is a great idea! You are so fortunate. My parents passed away about 20 years ago and my husbands parents are distant so I am always in awe when people have active parents.

Bet you will be glad to be home and see your little man. His "diet" is definitely keeping his numbers down. :lol: I'm sure your parents like getting rid of the mice too. What a good kitty!

Hi Tracy - it great to have Leo condo today - I enjoyed it all. Very nice numbers for your boy - congrats on the reduction!

I enjoy reading about your DGp - he is one special guy. I love the camp idea - ya never know... it sounds like he would be very good at it. It is wonderful that you will take the DGp's for a nice dinner. YAY!!

Awwww thanks everyone for the nice words. I wished i could have visited condos this week, but the most i could do was peek in from time to time.......this working for a living thing sucks.... :evil:

Believe it or not, my parents and I weren't all that close before Leo got sick......now its a completely different story. Amazing what a little orange being can do isn't it????
